Questions & Answers

What's with only having magnets at the bottom? I don't understand it. Magnets should be placed on the side of the saw blade, not along the blade. It was often mentioned that the magnet was weak. ?

If you don't have an insert plate on your table saw, you'll need to zero it from the cast iron top, or, if that is not available, from the steel plate on your table saw. It helps a great deal to prevent the instrument from tilting when the zeroing button is pressed. If you do not zero first, your measurements will be accurate only There is nothing but levelness between 5/100s of a degree on your table (not likely unless NASA or JPL made the shop floor and calibrated the saw). There is no gap between your insert plate and the ground, I just received your 7434 (probably after being sent from thousands of miles away in a shipping container that generated large temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure fluctuations) and it is perfectly calibrated. I dare say that there has never been a single injury to the 7434 that will affect its accuracy It makes sense, then, that only a fool would use this before zeroing, and that point of zeroing should always precede measurement of the existing tilt of the Because of this, the magnet is in the appropriate place, and a second magnet is not necessary. Magnets are not weak they are very strong. I call BS on that. Despite this, despite its strength, it is too strong and easy to cause jarring impacts resulting in 7434 being disabled.

My calibration is incorrect, how can I get it back to factory settings What should we do about calibrating ?

A real calibration is not possible. The zeroing out can be done at any angle, to get the difference from one position to the next. This will either tell you your level or tell you your grade

Can you tell me how much this item weighs? I need to pay particular attention to weight when developing ?

A new version of the AccuMASTER 2 from Calculated Industries is available for purchase. Angle finder with magnetic level and level in one weighing 8.9 oz. The weight of 28 pounds

What is the percent change in this measure? Can you give an example such as 2%, ?

The table displays bevels as degrees, IN/FT, mm/M, and percent slope.

Comparing LCD resolution to Neoteck, the LCD display does not fit the description
3/5

"LCD Display Resolution 0" is stated as part of the AccuMaster product description. At 0 degrees, 1 degree corresponds to 01 degree The 89 and 1 A 90-degree angle Display Resolution 0 1) displays no information on the actual screen. There is a temperature difference of 1 degree On the other hand, the similar Neoteck Level Box NTK034 really does have a zero-resolution display. The photo shows the picture shown above). If I had a choice, I would Using an equivalent resolution to the Neoteck and doing the rounding for In both cases, users had to calibrate their There is a period of about 3 minutes in between the two units. On the other hand, the Accumaster keeps the backlight on for the duration (until 3 minutes have elapsed since the last "movement"), whereas the Neoteck turns it off after 30 seconds without motion (it turns back on if motion is detected). Each unit's power consumption with the backlight on was about 16mA, while the Neoteck unit had a power consumption of 7mA when the backlight was Neoteck's sensors are more sensitive to motion than AccuMaster's, so it will usually stay on when the AccuMaster is turned It is important to note that neither the AccuMaster nor the Neoteck Level Box has perfectly square sides, so slight inconsistencies may occur if measuring from the side or top There are only magnets on the bottom of the device.

In the case of an "Error" appearing on the screen when the On/Off button is held down, the AccuMaster will not shut off. This minor issue does not exist with the Neoteck. When you remove the batteries from the AccuMaster, it weighs only 73g while the Neoteck is It is stated that the AccuMaster comes with two lifetime maintenance plans A year's warranty, but Amazon is not listed as an authorized dealer on Calculated Industries' website. Neoteck offers only a year's warranty. The Neoteck company is located in China, so they offer a 12-month warranty. In addition to the wrong product description, and the lower display resolution (both units are made in China)

I have taken away one star from the AccuMaster due to the incorrect product description, but otherwise I am satisfied with the product's functionality.

This is definitely not a product that I can recommend
3/5

I have several of these "digi-native" products A lot of my shop is filled with "cube" type devices. One of the things that attracted me to this one was the In a sense, it's more convenient, but not worth the cost. As compared to my other units in the same price range, this device is considerably inferior in every way. It "feels" cheap, weighs less than one ounce , and runs on batteries that are not integrated. The remaining three units make up the third. Part of the reason for this may be because of the weak magnets on the I have enameled 16 ga panels in my metal fabrication shop, and it will not cling to the inside of these Allow the unit to fall against the wall, pushing the magnets against the wall. Make sure you are ready to grab There will be no need to worry about it falling When I use my other brands of units, when I get close to the wall, they "jump" out of your hand and stick solidly to the wall. Moreover, the unit is prone to drift when you move it slightly after putting it in place, and is only responsive if you are exact in your movements. As for the product itself, I would just return it, but at this price, I am just putting it in my shop truck so I can use it when I have a road call or go to the scrap yard.

Definitely would not recommend this item.

I began with hope, but ended with disappointment
3/5

As the batteries had already been depleted, it arrived with a dead battery. There is not much to report but it is As soon as I replaced the batteries, I was able to use it. I'd like to mention a few things Firstly, enter 1. I have to change the batteries on this device every couple of days due to the poor battery life. Having said that, I am working in a pretty busy fabrication shop and this does get a lot of use. However, it is not enough to justify replacing the batteries every few days in my opinion. Because of the way this works, I'm continually checking it for accuracy. The readings appear to fluctuate quite a bit, even if I sit on a level surface. 3.
It doesn't have a very strong magnet. Glitter) and even a slight amount that finds Using it on steel would not be a good idea for regular use. I would say this would go really well for woodworking.

A roundabout way to say "not square
3/5

" I checked the angles against known ones, and they seem pretty accurate. There is usually an error of a few percentage points After it settles, it becomes 1. In my opinion, the biggest negative about this product is its lack of squareness. One of the angles should be 89. You should measure all angles from the same side. It's 6 degrees outside. One of them is 90 years old. You will need 2 degrees for this. There appears to be a parallel line between the bottom and top of the magnets. When you zero your scale out, as long as you measure using the same side, you should be fine. It just puzzles me why a precise digital instrument would not be square to make it easier to Would it be okay if you made the cube measuring surfaces flat without The smaller the area, the harder it is to measure.

It does a not so simple task with a simple tool
4/5

In my opinion, there are a couple of good reasons for choosing this tool, and its price is much better than the tool's value. First of all, let me say that it had me scared at first. I noticed that the tool stopped working after I opened it and removed the battery saver. My computer started working as soon as I opened the case and repositioned the batteries.

I enjoy its feature that allows you to make comparative measurements using relativistic When I use it to measure the squareness of the blade of my saw and the table, or to measure the squareness of a drill bit and the drill platform, it does a great job. In my opinion, it should have a bubble on it that tells you when it's too far forward or back on a side to side reading. It makes a big difference, and can mean the difference between a few There are strong magnets that adhere well to both metal and other surfaces. There are a few buttons that are too flush for my taste, but really, it's a useful tool. It has been a very satisfying experience for me.
