Questions & Answers

Is the mask capable of withstanding any hard hits, projectiles, or objects, such as a bean bag, rubber balls, metal balls, or a rock?

The face shield is designed to shield your eyes from liquid chemicals/fumes as well as infectious diseases. Purchase a low-cost ballistic face shield and place it on top of the full-face mask?

How can I tell if this will be a good fit for me? Do you have a variety of sizes?

Yes, there are three sizes of 3M respirators (small, medium, and large). The last three digits of the model number are used by 3M to differentiate between sizes. The model 6900 is the largest, followed by the model 6800, which is the medium, and the model 6700, which is the smallest. If you're an adult woman, you'll probably want to get a small, but depending on the shape and size of your face, you might be able to get away with a medium. Know that the half-face and full-face models (I believe) use a different sequence of numbers to indicate size, such as 6100 for small, 6200 for medium, and 6300 for large. I believe the 6000 series is the name of these masks. Some sizes appear to be far more popular than others (small, for example, may be easier to come by than large, given that most men wear the large size). The mask must be airtight in order to test for proper fit. You can only test it when you get the mask and put it on. This can be accomplished by putting on the mask without the filters. Place the palms of your hands over each filter port to create an airtight seal. Then, while holding your breath, breathe in to ensure that the mask fits snugly enough against your face and that it can hold that position for a short time. It might take some time to get the hang of it. A leaky mask won't protect you properly, and it won't seal well if hair gets in between the rubber seal and your skin. br> I believe the 6000 series masks are made of a less expensive rubber. The 7000 series, I believe, is made of silicone rubber, which will likely have a longer operating life and may (but not necessarily) seal better against the skin. Silicone rubber is more expensive, but it may be less irritating to sensitive skin.br>A half-face mask is less expensive than a full-face mask, but contaminants, such as viruses, can come into contact with the eyes and cause problems. Which design is more comfortable is a mystery to me. Some people prefer the half-faced design, while others prefer the full-faced design. The face shield may fog up due to the full face design, but an antifogging solution is probably available on Amazon. A transparent plastic anti-scratch film (also available on Amazon) may be required to protect the full-face plastic shield from scratches. etc.br> You'll almost certainly need to purchase filters as well. Two filters are needed for each mask. A p100 filter is better than a p95 filter in terms of protection. There are also filters with the letter 'N'. I believe the 'p' filters are rated for use when the air contains oily contaminants (pesticide sprays) and may also have a longer lifespan under normal conditions (I believe the 'p' filters have a lifespan of 40 hours). The 'n' filters, I believe, have a much shorter lifespan (perhaps 8 hours), but I am not certain. br> I believe there are two types of cartridge filters available: rectangular cartridge filters and plastic retainer cartridge filters: as well as circular pancake filters The cartridge filters come with multiple built-in protections ('particulate' and 'organic vapor', combined into a single filter cartridge). A specific color (for easy identification) and a number are used to distinguish the combinations. I believe the pancake filters are only for particulate filtration, but I could be wrong. It should be replaced with a new set of filters if it becomes difficult to breathe through a filter or if it otherwise differs from a new filter. If the filters have been found to be contaminated with infectious material (virus), they should be replaced as well, and handled as if they were infectious (don't touch with ungloved fingers, don't touch your face, etc.). br> Plastic retainers are used to hold the filters in place. 3M filters aren't compatible with North masks, in my opinion. 3M filters may be compatible with Chinese masks. For more information, contact a company that specializes in safety equipment. I'm not a professional in any way.

Is it possible to replace the shield if it becomes scratched?

Will this look good on a man with a beard?

Any face mask's seal will be compromised if you have a thick beard. br>If you want the best seal to keep unwanted air, chemicals, and viruses out, you should shave; the level of protection you want is entirely up to you. It would still keep many things out if it clamped down over a short beard, but it's like any seal that has something in the way.

I'm all set for the end of the world! Dan, thank you for not canceling the order
5/5

This is what I wore to the polls today to vote. Since the numbers are rising again, I felt very safe and very comfortable. In the midst of the pandemic, this is a must-have item. I prefer this mask to the half-face masks because it allows you to chew gum without difficulty. Lol.

Air purification is required – This is what the Mask looks like
5/5

Forest fire smoke was thick, making it difficult to breathe, and the smoke was burning my eyes. br>With the right cartridges, this mask can save your life. To seal properly, the beard must be shaved clean. br>Seller may require signature upon delivery; however, buyers should be notified if this is the case. br>Purchased three masks and placed an order for 16 more from a different seller.

The best value for your money, but double-check the size before you buy
5/5

S,m,L. It's possible to see exactly what you're chopping. With a 16" Hilti cutoff saw, I use this to cut concrete. I can see my line clearly without inhaling a toxic soup of silica and who knows what else. Get the pre filter dust catcher if you want to maximize your millage. Dust does not accumulate on the main particulate/vapor filter because of these small pads. This is by far the best value for money! For just over a hundred dollars, you can get a cutting-edge design! I'm not sure about you, but I think $100-$150 is a good starting point. It's worth $200 to avoid bringing home lugis of dirt and grime in the shower. It's important to take care of your health. Your eyes are priceless, and you only have two of them.

This is fantastic! I had no idea what I had been missing! This is a fantastic mask! I had a long project to complete, and I'd been looking for a good combination of googles and respirator masks
5/5

I've used 3M and other nose/mouth masks before, and they're fantastic. However, I've had a lot of trouble finding goggles that don't fog up (especially when worn with a face/nose mask). br>I had considered buying a full face respirator before but had been put off by the cost; however, after taking the plunge, I am extremely pleased with my decision! It did not fog up at all once I put it on and started working. In fact, after a few minutes, I didn't even consider wearing it. I only wish I had bought one sooner! I used it with 3M P100 filters and had no breathing problems, even when I was working hard.
Note: Make sure you get the right size for your face. I received the 6800, which is a Medium, by mistake and had to return it because I thought it was too small. I switched to a 6900 (Large) and it was a perfect fit.

The fit, protection, and visibility are all excellent

It has a great seal around the face. Sturdy. Filters from a wide range of manufacturers are compatible. What's not to like about that?.

Worth it
5/5

I'm not sure why it took so long for me to get one. Use it to cut concrete board, mow the lawn when pollen is bad, spray paint, when it's dusty in attics, and to cut mold under houses. If you wear contacts, you'll also need eye protection.
