Questions & Answers

I'm curious if this would be suitable for eye and respiratory protection in the event of a wildfire. (if you use the right filters)?

Because it isn't a supplied air unit, the NFPA couldn't certify it. SCBAs are used by firefighters for this reason. In an oxygen-depleted environment, it would be risky to entrust your life to this. My team and I use these to protect ourselves while cleaning up mold, water, and fire damage, for example. After the fire has been extinguished.

Is this the right mask to wear if I'm remodeling a house with mold, asbestos, and other nonsense bacteria? What else could be suggested if that is not the case?

Yes, if you come across any of those things, you'll get a P-. This mask requires a HEPA filter with a rating of 100. Commercial asbestos abatement contractors, on the other hand, would have different hiring requirements than a homeowner or do-it-yourselfer. self-starter.

I'm looking for a size chart, but I'm not sure where I can find one. ?

"3M states conservatively that the Medium size respirator mask (full and half face) fit 80% of the population.
"3M states that the Medium size Most people who fit the Large respirator sizes are aware of this due to previous experiences with items such as glasses, hats, helmets, and other headwear that did not fit properly. While a proper fit test is important, the majority of our customers will be satisfied with the medium-sized respirator, and children will wear either the small or medium-sized respirator masks.

Is there a z- stamp on this? 87, and is there latex in it?

The faceshield is inscribed with Z87. Natural rubber latex isn't used in any of the components. Please call 3M Techline at 800-3M-TECH (1-800-3M-TECH). 243- If you have any further questions, please call 4630. Thank you very much.

This mask is fantastic
5/5

I bought this for home use so that I could be safe while spraying pesticides or crawling through the unfortunate blown-in fiber glass attic insulation. This mask is well built, and I used to certify gas masks for military use. My wife and I are both able to wear the mask (we ordered the 402, medium size). The filters are extremely well-secured in their positions. There were no problems with any of the seals, as the pressure test proved. A free "trial" face shield cover is also included to protect the mask from scratches. br>br>Another thing to keep in mind is that If you're not sure which filters to buy, go with the 3M 60923 filters. They'll keep you safe from almost anything you'll encounter in your home. I use them for pesticide, painting, sanding, and other tasks, and I've never noticed any odors or inhaled any particles. For complete protection, I recommend purchasing Tyvek 400 suits with hoods and booties.

The mask is of good quality, and the medium size is suitable for most people
4/5

My main concern was determining which size to order, and there isn't much information available on the subject. I'm 6'1" tall and weigh around 192 pounds. My ball caps are adjusted on the 2/3 end of the back strap, which helps, because my heads are on the larger side. I don't have a big nose or a big face, but I do have a long nose and face - All in all, it was just average. I ordered the medium mask, anticipating that it would be on the small side; however, the information I found stated that it would fit people between the ages of 80 and 100. 90 of those involved in the process. It's awkward at first, but once you get used to it, you'll find that it fits perfectly; the way it cups your chin is annoying, but necessary. That's all. I'm used to wearing half-face respirators. The straps are excellent; they adjust quickly, and you can easily remove it by releasing the bottom straps, tilting the tabs upward, and sliding it up off your face. I haven't had any problems with my hair getting caught in it so far. It's a good thing the rubber doesn't grab. It's a nice headband. The nose cup does not sit flush against the sides of my nose, which is a little disappointing. So far, there hasn't been any fogging, but it's only been used in warm weather. It "really" needs a release valve on the bottom front to allow sweat to escape. On the spit valave of a trumpet,- Activate the valve by pushing it open and blowing through it. It's not easy to check the pressure on this mask. To remove the nose guard, place your fingernail behind the top, pull outward, and slide up. With the soft part of your hand, 'gently' block the one-way valve/flap in front of you and blow out. This will determine whether or not it is a good fit. Slide the cover back on and click it into place (while the mask is still on). I've got a goatee and long chops. I shaved 1/4" off the top. The mask is 1/2" long and does an excellent job of forming a seal. When using the p100 pancake filters, there is enough flow for the path of least resistance to be followed. Don't be afraid to keep it pressed against your cheeks. A wide field of vision is available. The diaphragm used for speaking is so/so. The carrying bag is useful for lining a small trash can, but it does not provide much protection for the helmet. Many of them include a much-needed carrying case. If you're in a truck with other equipment, a bag won't help you much. It doesn't even close tightly enough to keep dust and other debris out. If you want to try it out first, it comes with one lens protector/br>br>But mine didn't. It wasn't even wrapped in any way. It arrived in a flimsy shelf stock package. They didn't even bother taping the lid shut. It was clear that it had been opened, as the paperwork and additional lens protector had been removed. Because of the lid's state, I'm aware of this. My co- They were previously purchased by employees and all of them came with it. 3M also responded to an email by stating that they did. So, thankfully, I had a protector with which to protect it. Because they aren't cheap, this cheats me out of about $6. I needed it right away or I'd have made a big deal about the shoddy workmanship and returned it on principle. The lens was protected by a cover, which appeared to have fallen out at some point and prevented it from being damaged. They must be able to afford a piece of tape with that much money spent on plastic and rubber, right? A box would be useful, as the postal service still gives them away for free if you use their services - especially since it was delivered to my mailbox directly by the Postal Service.

With the right filters, health care providers can be well protected
5/5

This Respirator provides excellent comfort and fit. I'm a Registered Respiratory Therapist who works with Covid patients on a daily basis. I like that it has a cool air flow and that I can wear it for long periods of time without having to take a break. It doesn't leak and the straps can be adjusted for a snug, comfortable fit. The filters for this 3M mask are readily available, as are disposable face plate shield protectors that simply peel off, which I purchased in bulk for under $20. br>I appreciate the level of protection provided by this respirator. My recommendation is to "spend freely, rest comfortably," as my Italian grandmother used to say. I have disposable N95 inserts for the canister filters as well. br>I hope that this information is useful. LBRRT- LBRRT- LBRRT- LBRRT- LBRRT- LBRRT- L.

It's a great mask, but the filter holder is a little flimsy
3/5

Overall, a fantastic mask that is both comfortable and effective at removing contaminants from the air, but the plastic holder for the actual filter, at least on mine, is a little flimsy. After about two weeks of use, the right side of the mask simply fell off, rendering it useless. I tried putting it back together because it didn't break, but I can't seem to get it tight enough to stay in place; it keeps falling off, which is frustrating because I need it for work due to the dusty environment. It's a five-star product in terms of functionality, but I'm rating it three stars because of a minor issue.

So, while I was on the trampoline with the kids, I left hard boiled eggs on the stove with an egg timer in the pan, which saved me a bill from the fire department
5/5

Unfortunately, NOT ONE OF THE EIGHT SMOKE DETECTORS WORKED (kiddi smoke detectors are a joke, and the company is as well), and the entire house was filled with smoke from the waist up, making it difficult to see. Thanks to this mask and the p100 filters, I was able to go inside and grab the smoking pan and melted timer out of the house, open the windows, and get all of the animals out. You couldn't walk within 10 feet of my house without inhaling a strong burning plastic odor that burned your nose if you didn't have this mask on. So I'm glad I had this because otherwise I would have had to call the fire department because my egg timer had melted.

because I'm fond of my lungs My company is specializing in spray foam insulation
5/5

Note: Because I prefer my lungs, I don't use this as a respirator when applying spray foam. After the majority of the fumes have been vented out, I use this only for cleanup. I wish I'd had this when I first started out eight years ago. I'd always worn half masks because I assumed full masks would be hot, sweaty, and foggy. Was I ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever It's a lot more comfortable than the 3M half masks, and it keeps foam dust out of your eyes. It also seals better than half masks and doesn't slide around on your face, something that half masks and safety glasses fail to do every time; it also seals better than half masks and doesn't slide around on your face.
