I can only say that they are on the small side. I am of "average" height and weight (5-feet-nine-inches). I ordered a medium because of my height (7, 165). I returned for a large because it was a little too small.
There is no filter. It will, however, accept the majority of the 3M 14-millimeter wire. Filters should be turned off. You'll be able to select your application in this manner.
This mask can be used with a variety of filters. Choose the filter or cartridge that will protect you from the hazard(s) you're facing. For welding and shop grinding, I use 3M pink pillow 3M 2097.
For wood dust, a P95 rated particle filter is recommended, and the 3M 2071 P95 Filter is a suggested option to consider when using the 3M 6503QL Half Facepiece Respirator.

This mask left me feeling a little underwhelmed. In my line of work, I am required to wear a respirator on a daily basis. I've been using the 3M 7500 series for quite some time, but I decided to give this model a try because of the quick open/close feature. The elastic neck/head bands on this model are much thinner and less expensive than those on the 7500 series masks, and the facepiece is a stiffer/harder type of plastic. Because of this, the mask does not seal as well as the masks in the 7500 series, which have a softer silicone facepiece. The cost of this mask is approximately the same as the cost of the 7500 series mask. In the same way, I would strongly advise someone to buy the 7500 series rather than this one. A mask isn't doing its job if it doesn't seal well against the face. This is simply an older style, less well-built mask than the 7500 series, and it is NOT the mask you want if you're serious about protecting yourself.
SILICONE IN A SMOOTH FORM: THIS MASK IS GOOD, but most of that is covered by other reviews and the 3M description. COMFORTABLE FIT AND QUICK RELEASE. br>br> The soft silicone face mask adapts to a variety of facial shapes. This one (LARGE) is big enough to fit on my big mug comfortably. Masks that fit over the bridge of my nose are my favorite. Remember that the quality of customer service, as well as the shipping and packaging, aren't as important. WHAT MATTER IS. br>br> WHERE DO YOU PUT IT? br>br>In this case, it's all about fit and size. Compare the measurements of your face to those in the photos. MEASUREMENTS WITHIN THE (LARGE) MASK: br>br>MEASUREMENTS WITHIN THE (LARGE) MASK: br>br>MEASUREMENTS WITHIN THE (LARGE (as seen in the photos)br>br>Height: width: 4 1/2" (inches)br>height: 4 1/2" (inches)br>length: 4 1/2" (inches)br>height: Great Mask, 3 1/2" (inches)br>br> Amazon has it for a great price. (However, after doing all of this research, I decided to go with the 3M7503/37083 (AAD) over this one (3M 6503QL) because it fits a little better and has less detail on the front to catch and trap sawdust. )br>br>HOW DOES IT FIT. Make sure your measurements are correct. I tried on a few masks before returning the ones that didn't fit properly. (I had to pay return shipping on the ones that were not from Amazon. ) So buyer beware, try to get the right fit the first time. Purchase a size larger than you think you need. To make things easier, I tried to include photos with measurements. This is the mask that I am most at ease in. It's a large size that comfortably fits over my bridge of nose. br>br>FINAL REMARKS: br>br> Even though the fit and silicone are excellent, and the straps evenly pull the mask up to the face, the front straps collect dust in the nooks, so I'd recommend the 3M Large Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 7503/37083(AAD).
This is a rip-off of an Amazon product. 0000 is the number assigned to this lot. br>At the very least, make up the numbers. br>I'm hoping it does the job.
3M produces a large number of respirators and filters. It's possible that it'll be too much for you. I chose this respirator based on the quick release, size options, various filter types available, and cost after reading a lot of Amazon reviews; I use it for welding and am very pleased with it. The 3m 2297 filters are included as well. The quick release allows you to remove just enough of the mask to talk or drink water without having to take off the entire headgear. Plus, as a welder, it's convenient that your exhaled air exits through the lower portion of the respirator. Under the welding helmet, I also put on a pair of safety glasses and a respirator. There are no issues; they are simple to put on and adjust, provide a good seal all around, and are reasonably priced. The respirator can also be used in other situations where there is a risk of dust, smoke, or other contaminants. Just keep in mind that a respirator won't give you enough oxygen to breathe. It will keep a lot of the potentially harmful particles out of your lungs. Many of them are too small for the naked eye to detect. Don't put your health in jeopardy. Protect yourself by wearing a mask or respirator and wearing safety glasses. You'll be glad you took the time to do so.
These masks were purchased to filter the air in an old house that was filled with mold and mildew while my son and I cleaned the rooms. These are by far the best air-filtering masks I've ever used. Unlike other masks that restrict airflow, these masks allow you to breathe normally even during strenuous activities! Through the filters, I was unable to detect any mold or mildew. I also got one for my son, who was very pleased with it. Because we wore these masks, neither of us had any allergies or asthma attacks. Other masks that didn't fit as well or didn't allow for as much unrestricted airflow didn't protect us from allergens. I told him that he should be able to mow the lawn without fear of being attacked - He agreed with a laugh. I only wish we had received these in the spring instead of just before the fall. br>br>For use with the mask, I bought these 3M filters. They're easy to put on and take off.
The package arrived in a cut-open plastic bag. It was dusty and filthy on the outside, but it appeared to be clean on the inside. I tried returning it but was unable to do so. So I tried to use it for about 30 minutes, and while I was wearing it, it developed a horrible taste and smell. So I used antibacterial and antiviral cleaner to thoroughly clean it. I let it air out for two days before installing cartridges and trying it again, which resulted in the same smell. I'm not sure if this is due to the new rubber face mask gassing out or something else. So it appears that I am stuck with an unusable crappy stinking respirator. Thank you, Amazon, for your excellent customer service; however, I noticed a number of reviews with open packages and soiled face masks. So keep an eye on things.
* UPDATE
I placed an order for a replacement. I'm going to return this pre-owned item. possibly pre-opened As soon as I get my new PPE, I'll start wearing it. The procedure appeared to be simple, and I was supposed to receive my replacement today. The shipment has now been postponed for unknown reasons. I'm on my second day without the product I require for my job. Yet another setback. br>br>* ORIGINAL
This product was delivered open, which is not acceptable for personal protective equipment. It was supposed to be sealed, but it wasn't. Now I have to decide whether to return it or try to clean it thoroughly. I was let down.
