Questions & Answers
Filters were not included in mine. They should have been packaged together with the mask, according to the bag, so they could have been removed before shipping.
Sheetrock dust, sawdust, and insulation installation are some of the things I use it for.
Without the proper training and equipment, no one should be removing asbestos. When used correctly, this mask provides P100 protection from asbestos. The same-day shipping is available. Outside of Nevada, there is no state-imposed sales tax. C2CSAFETY INC is a company dedicated to ensuring the safety of its customers
If you already have one, the P100 is a good mask to use in the event of a virus pandemic, but as the other guy mentioned, it's not good for a gas attack.

Works great, far superior to the cloth N95s in terms of seal. It's not exactly comfortable, but it's not bad, and I've grown accustomed to it. I'm surprised at how inexpensive it is. The two pink filters, each with a 5-star rating, are included in this package. The shelf life is one year (though they will need to be replaced sooner if they are used frequently and deteriorate). I should have bought one of these a long time ago because it came with detailed instructions on how to wear it, test the seal, and check for deterioration. Purchased recently to combat smoke from the Napa/Santa Rosa fires in the Bay Area. br>br>OK, I'll add a couple of caveats after a few days of use. It has a distinct rubber odor to begin with. I've grown accustomed to it, but it's not particularly enjoyable. Also, due to discomfort and even a little pain on the bridge of my nose, I am constantly adjusting it around my nose. I suppose this has something to do with obtaining a great seal, which is crucial, and it may or may not occur with other faces/noses, I'm not sure. Nonetheless, I'll keep my 5-star rating. It deserves a five-star rating because it serves its intended purpose admirably. On these bad days, the difference in how my lungs and throat feel is remarkable. The difference in air quality between days when I wear it and days when I don't is significant.
This unit was of poor quality, with shoddy workmanship and no filters included. The size of the Large is enormous. br>I bought a medium 3M 6000 half-face respirator with 6 filter sets and found it to be a good product that fit my large face well and served me well after Hurricane Sandy. br>Don't buy this product because it appears that the problem of shipping without filters is widespread.
" I spent 30 years in the field of Occupational Health and Safety, running respiratory protection programs, training thousands of asbestos workers, and wearing every type of respirator imaginable. This isn't a very good respirator. It's fine, and it's government-approved, so if it fits, it'll do the job (if you don't know how to fit test a respirator according to OSHA guidelines, assume it won't). However, it is not as comfortable as units of higher quality. It's fine for occasional, intermittent use, but it'd be a real pain to use on a regular basis.
I used to have the medium size, which was a little too big for me. I was able to get it to fit, but I had to fiddle with it all the time to ensure a good seal. I put it on and forget about it when it comes to this one. br>br>Another type of mask is one that has a "drop down" feature, which means the mask drops down off your face when the clasps at the back are undone. That's convenient if you need to take a break to talk, eat, or drink something, but it's not difficult to move this one out of the way if necessary. br>br>It came without the filters, according to some reviews. As expected, my set included the filters. I'm not sure if some of the orders are coming from third-party sellers or not. I'm still using the filters that came with my previous respirator, and they're fine. br>br>I wore my respirator for several hours while pulling down an elderly lath-and-plaster structure. and-plaster wall, as well as some drywall from the 1930s. I used to do that kind of work with a paper dust mask, and it was a pain to get enough dust in my nose. After several hours of tearing things down and cleaning up dust (including getting quite close to piles of dust as I swept them into a dustpan before sucking up the rest with a shop vac), almost nothing made it through. The small amount of air that got through indicated that the mask wasn't perfectly fitted, but it was clearly close. br>br>For my purposes, it doesn't matter if the seal isn't perfect - Rather than hazardous material, I use it for building dust. However, I have a feeling this thing would hold up just fine if I were removing something other than plaster dust.
I eventually switched to a more flexible mask that was more comfortable and didn't look as strange. This one also has valves that allow your own breath to come out of the mask unfiltered, which isn't ideal for those around you, even if you're in good health. safe and secure I taped some fabric over the exhaust valve holes, which helped a little, but it also made breathing a little more difficult.
I had a package that was damaged during shipping, and the seller made it right by issuing a refund. replace. A lot of things can grow in a house's crawlspace, and I couldn't be happier with the product. I'm all right now.
I'm 6'1" and weigh around 210 pounds, and the large fits my face nicely. This is what I use to weld. Its low profile allows it to easily fit beneath a welding helmet, and it appears to filter welding fumes adequately. Forming a seal has never been an issue for me. My only criticism is that after an hour or so, it becomes a little uncomfortable to wear.
Excellent value for money. It was very easy to understand and it fit my face perfectly. There are two different strap adjustments to make, and I'm sure they can get a good seal on just about anyone's face with the two of them combined. br>I used this for a project in my den where I needed to use an angle grinder to grind a lot of concrete. Believe me when I say there was a LOT of concrete dust in the air, and I used it for at least 8 hours over the course of four days. I had no dust in my mask at all, and I even have some light facial hair. br>I was blown away. In the future, I'll use this for other dusty projects.
