In HDPE, I was able to cut 14mm deep in a single pass at 1500mm/min without any problems. I was able to cut aluminum at 400mm/min with a 6mm depth of cut in a single pass. There was some chatter there, but a finish pass would have taken care of it. If I do a second pass at 0. 0, the result will be the same as the first. The finish on aluminum is very reflective, with a depth of 1mm and no air-brushing. Coolant or blast. The ability of your tool to cut depends entirely on the rigidity of your machine. My Dewalt router has no trouble being slowed down by this cutter. To truly push this cutter, you'll need a much stronger spindle. I was blown away.

I was able to cut through 6061 Alum with ease, and I was able to run it faster and deeper than I expected

Go for it with a nice cutting/cooling fluid and a good ramp into your material. It's a really nice bit.

Cut quality is a joke

Although the bit appears to be of high quality, the cut quality is poor. I'm not sure if I just got a bad one, but it's completely useless unless you want to sand for the rest of your life.

I hate having to say anything negative about SpeTool because I've used a lot of their products in the past and been very happy with them, but this thing was a complete waste of money. I decided to try it out on a thin piece of pine with low feeds and shallow doc, and the end mill snapped after only 30 seconds! Probably won't buy anything else!.
