I cut patterns for inlays all over the guitar neck, headstock, and rosette. I also use hardwoods and reconstituted stone on occasion. that. I use sizes that range from 1/8" to 1/32". In the past, the luthier supply house where I bought these bits charged the same price for all sizes. They cost almost $25 a pop. I've never had a problem with diameters of 1/16 and higher, but the 1/32? They break all the time, and there's nothing quite like hearing the bit go "Ping" and seeing another $25 fly out the window. br>br>As a seasoned pearl inlay artist, I understand the feeling of "pushing" too hard when counting a teeny tiny bit like that. Yes, no matter how gentle I was with them, they seemed to only make it from one Guitar to the next. br>br>I knew there had to be a better option available. What was the worst that could happen if I bought this five-piece 1/32" set for $30? br>br>I'm pleased to report that I would probably put a good hour of actual use (meaning actual cutting time) into the first bit, and it appears to be in good shape. I haven't noticed any sluggishness, smoking, or clogging yet. br>br>It may seem premature to write this review so soon after I started using the bits, but they've already outlasted brand X by two or three times, and THAT is real, measurable money saved. br>br>This product has exceeded my expectations!.

It really works. It's been a month since I've used it on an industrial drill, and it's still razor sharp. However, a good cutting fluid is required to avoid excessive heat on thicker stainless steel.

These do a good job in mild steel and non-hardened o1 steel, with a nice clean cut and a long lasting edge. I'm happy with the results. It was also used in aluminum, and despite being optimized for other materials, it performed admirably with coolant. br>br>In the future, I will purchase more.

For a knife handle, you'll need ten materials. These components performed admirably. They're a little on the pricey side compared to other small items, but they're well worth it! So far, there have been no breaks in the cuts.
