The following review is written exclusively for those who are thinking about buying this mill for hobby purposes. I am, however, no expert and cannot speak to the value of the mill because I am just a hobby machinist. Based on the reviews, it appears that the carbide material has the advantage of being able to be run at a much higher RPM and should in fact be run at that rate. In its craziest form this thing is a flat metal mill that flat moves some metal and leaves the work piece cooler than a TIN mill. For a roughing mill, this leaves a pretty nice finish as well.
Mild steels are well suited for this product.
There is a problem with the diameter of the endmill, This would have been 3750" in diameter, but instead it is I have a shank. This section contains the section "3748" and the section "cutting flutes. ". Input "3735".
The cutter works well and is a good buy.
I find the price to be rather reasonable.
