The CNC router that I use for making signs uses these. As of now, the process seems to be going well. This 1/4" shank is what I like most about them. By not having to swap out collets with a larger bit, I'm able to work more efficiently. As an added bonus, each bit comes in its own sturdy I prefer this to the flimsy blown plastic cases that most of these come in. There is no noticeable haze on the cutting surface. I haven't tried the other tips yet, but I compared them all and they all appear to have similar qualities.
I am unable to comment on longevity yet, since I haven't spent a lot of time on them, but they seem to be worthwhile. The price is reasonable, so I have no complaints.
Initially, they were fantastic, but after a period of use, they became very fragile. One day, I used the set speeds in carbide create on my SHAPEOKO and four of them broke. On the pieces where I could, I swapped to a 1/8 on the fifth in order to save it. all, here are some things which you can use if you're OK with them breaking. One thing I notice is that 1/16ths of a bit last much longer than 1/8ths. To check-out how I can increase the speed of the camera, I got a second set. My update will come after I give it a try.
Using this endmill, I formed a slot in one side of a 1/16-inch aluminum sheet. It has a DOC of 208mm and a maximum speed of The runout is visible even to the naked eye, but the cutting is good. My only option is to measure it, but precision work is not on the table.
As of now, I have broken about 4 of them. It is my responsibility to properly set the speed and depth of cut when they fail to brake, but I must admit that part of the problem may be due to me. The product has been repurchased once and will be purchased.
The milling bits I purchased for my 3040 are used to cut plastic Specifically, we are talking about CNC routers. During the production of machinable epoxy (Epoxacast 655), I was astounded by their quality. My hands are almost the full length of the handles, so I can reach deep into the Despite deflections associated with a few of them, this is to be expected for such a long bit. An extra finishing pass will definitely fix this. My purchase was exactly what I needed and I definitely plan on placing another order.
The items sent to me appear to not be made of high speed steel as advertised (cold roll). They would have been ground with no clearance if they were. Besides walking, the tool has just chartered. The part I destroyed was destroyed.
I needed some 10mm mills quickly for a titanium project I was working on. It's great they're on Amazon - thanks! In addition, I was able to use some 10mm drills while drilling.
Even though it can only go a quarter inch deep, it works perfectly. It makes very clean cuts and is very durable for detailed routing projects. That's what I mean!.
