At the bottom of the cut, this bit leaves an entirely flat surface. I was blown away by it. A flat surface was also necessary for me.

I use this for aluminum milling and it produces a nice finish. The only reason I replaced it was because I broke the shank because I wasn't paying attention and it loaded up.
I've been using a set of cheap end mills that I got from the same place where I got my micro mill. I needed a longer end mill for a special project, so I paid the price after reading reviews on the Kodiak end mill, hoping that it would be well worth it. Let me tell you, it was a lot of fun. Even at their best, my low-cost end mills couldn't compare to the Kodiak. When compared to this, I honestly believe that those cheap end mills aren't even sharp. I can easily cut metal with the Kodiak in my machine because I can turn the collet by hand. I really like it because it's sharp and of good quality.
It has held up very well considering the abuse that I put it through trying to mill out two 80% lowers using a drill press. The tool worked well for both drilling and milling, and it left a nice finish. If you're considering this product for the same purpose, I'd recommend sticking with a milling machine because you'll get a much better finish (much less chatter) and you won't have to worry about the bit slipping out of the chuck every five minutes (the first lower had a 3/8" hole punched through the bottom of the FCG pocket due to unexpected slippage, but I remembered that for the second one (by marking the top of the bit so I'd know if it moved.

So far, there haven't been any problems. The tips haven't broken off and the edge has held up. I wish it was an inch or two longer. But who doesn't wish for such a thing?.
End mill bit of excellent quality. I bought it for a small project I was working on at home. After about 2 hours of cutting aluminum, the bit was still in good shape and looked brand new. I could have paid a lot more for the same part elsewhere, but I'm glad I chose Kodiak Cutting Tools. Thank you for the excellent packaging, prompt delivery, and reasonable price.
I had a lot of milling to do, and this bit held up well and continues to work perfectly. I would strongly recommend it to anyone, and it even comes with a small case to keep the bit safe.
