Although it appears to be German, it is manufactured in China. I have one in my 6" dura-cell battery. No issues with the vent, and there is no warpage.
We could, but the shipping costs would be prohibitively expensive. Yes, it will work with a 6" stove pipe.
It worked perfectly in the stub on top of my stove.
To do it, you'd have to match the bends on the pine, which is a bent 1/4" steel rod. It wouldn't be nearly as difficult if it weren't for the fact that it isn't

Not at all what they said. It claims to be a 6" diameter, but it is actually a 5. 5". This will not properly seal my chimney, so I'll be returning it.

The grove on the disc isn't deep enough to catch the shaft and hold it in place. True on both sides of the disc, though it is possible to jam it to the point where it becomes brittle. It's a bad situation because the disc is stuck inside the smoke pipe and can't be fiddled with. Maybe it was just one mold, but I got the short end of the stick.
During the night, the fire burned for much longer. In the morning, I had hot coals, and I was very happy.
The goal is to keep the hot air trapped in the chimney and only let a small amount out to allow the smoke to escape. It worked as expected, despite the fact that it smelled like new paint when it arrived and I couldn't bring it into the house for over a week.
My old damper had worn out, and my local hardware store was closed for the season, so I ordered this one, which I am very happy with. Later, I saw a few at Rual King, but the one I purchased is far superior.
It was half the price to install a new pipe on a wood stove that works as it should.
