Is this compatible with the rotating locking system on Selkirk Metalbestos double wall pipe?

This cap appears to go inside the pipe, but mine did not fit, and they refused to accept it back.

Is it possible to keep the rain out with this?

Yes, but I was unable to return mine because I had never used it. It was purchased to be used with insulated triple wall pipe, but it did not fit.

Is this suitable for a 6 inch double wall pipe?

It will fit if the pipe's inside diameter is 6 inches.

Diameter? 6" "slip in" round's actual outer diameter? 6 1/4" is the inside diameter of my stove pipe. Is it possible for this cap to "slip in?" ?

The collar has a 5 31/32" outer diameter. As a result, it should be fine.

When I first moved in, the chimney had no cover. A bird got stuck in our chimney, and we had to deal with it. This item was quickly delivered after I placed my order. It fit snugly in my insulated chimney pipe, which I installed in late fall, and it has now stayed in place through a few strong winds. Anyone looking for a simple to install, well-fitting chimney cap should look no further! It also has a very solid feel to it.

My smoke cap screen had become clogged, resulting in excessive creosote buildup. For a few months, this cap solved my problem without a hitch. Creosote remover is also being used at this time.

If you want to put it in a 6" pipe like I did, you'll need a crimper and a lot of patience. I don't agree with the sizing and size criticisms. It will not fit every application out of the box if it is not custom made.

Allows for adequate airflow to aid in the creation of a draft, which aids in the extraction of a good fire from the firebox. It's well-made and appears to be long-lasting, but I've only had it for a few months.
