The part that goes on top of the clay tile is circular. The cap has a square top.
I'm going to say you need the 12" because your chimney liner is irregular from the factory and needs to be ground down on the outside to make a custom fit. If your clay liner, on the other hand, is smaller than 12, This 12" may work with a squeeze here and there because the bottom is flexible. Clay tiles are rarely perfect circles. A hand-held grinder with a diamond wheel, on the other hand, is unquestionably the solution.

It was simple to set up, though. And, despite being a metal chimney, it has held up well, even in hurricane winds. br>br>However, after a year, the welds connecting the mesh to the cap completely disintegrated. In fact, the mesh that connects it to the cap has completely disintegrated. In my hands, what was once a single piece of metal broke into two. br>br>Not even close to a 7-star rating. design for the year I hate to be the one to write a negative review, but I don't have any other option.
75", and it didn't fit until I ground down the clay flue diameter with a recipro saw carbide blade. It's designed for use in marine environments, so it should be able to withstand the foggy conditions along the coast. Wish they'd made a product in between this and the next size up (which didn't sound like it would fit based on the product description), but adding mortar or other filler (for the larger product) might have been easier than grinding down my flue (for the smaller one).
This product was simple to install, but the mesh (on the sides) has rotted and we need to replace it after less than a year. This would not be a problem because the price is low, but our roof is over 17' tall and we are having difficulty finding someone to install it. This is fine for the short term, depending on how long you want it to last, but I would spend more money on a better one.
The only disadvantage is that the hoop isn't exactly a circle, making installation a little more difficult, but not impossible.
I'm pleased with this product, though I had to rivet 3/4" brass blocks to each of the clamping surfaces in order for it to hold onto my 12-inch wheel. br> I was aware of the 3/4 outside diameter concrete flu pipe when I purchased it.
This is fantastic! It was simple to put together and keeps the fireplace safe from wildlife.
I would buy this product again because it is well built and made of thck stainless steel.
Installing and removing the product is a breeze. After 15 months, however, it fell apart. And it's only in the winter that I start to burn.
