Questions & Answers
This isn't something you should buy! After just a few months of light use, the spoons have completely rusted.
Yes. They stayed in place on the magnet strip where I keep my knives just fine.
Because of their magnetic properties, they could be one of two types. Both 201 and 304 are suitable for use in the kitchen.
My silverware and silverplate go in the dishwasher all of the time with no problems; however, I would never wash silver or silverplate in the dishwasher. It has the potential to discolor itself, as well as any other metals it comes into contact with. I hope this information is useful.

Over the years, I've owned a variety of measuring spoons, but these are by far the best. They're made of high-quality stainless steel, which is far more durable than plastic or aluminum. They have a lovely, glossy appearance and feel wonderful in my hands. br>br>This set includes a handy ring that holds the spoons together and can be easily pinched open to release the individual spoons if desired (a picture illustrating how to do so can be found on the set's box). There are six different sizes of measuring spoons included in this set, which includes: 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp, 1 tsp Unlike traditional, round measuring spoons, they have a slim shape that allows them to fit into narrow spice jars. These measuring spoons would make an excellent gift. br>br> They come in a nice box, and each spoon is individually wrapped in plastic to prevent scratching during shipping.
I rarely leave a comment, but I've been making this same bread recipe for years, and when I tried it with my new Spring Chef measuring spoons, the loafs turned out to be extremely salty! To determine how far off these measuring spoons were, I used my old measuring spoons. I only tested the teaspoon and tablespoon and discovered that the new measuring spoons were wildly inaccurate. I'm extremely disappointed! The only criticism I have is that they are extremely heavy and unusable.
The accuracy of two of the spoons is questionable. Because the 1/4 teaspoon was cut incorrectly, it only holds 1/8 teaspoon. The 1/8 teaspoon measurement is incorrect; it should be 1/4 teaspoon. I bought 1EasyLife spoons, and they were exactly what I needed. Both sets, 1EasyLife and Spring Chef, have a cheap feel to them and bend easily, but the Spring Chef bends more easily than 1EasyLife, so I sent back the Spring Chef spoons today. It makes no sense to have spoons that aren't precise. Follow up. br>br> Customer service is fantastic, and they go out of their way to ensure that their customers are satisfied. I received my refund in a timely manner, and as a result, I have changed my star rating from a 2 to a 4.
This set of measuring spoons is fantastic. Well- They're well-made, easy to clean, and they fit where you want them to. They carry out their duties effectively. They have clear and easy-to-read engravings on them. Go ahead and buy it if you're thinking about it. You're going to be pleased with yourself. I've only noticed two minor drawbacks in the months since my purchase, neither of which is related to the measuring spoons themselves: br>br>1) The seller is one of those sellers who will email you nonstop for a few days after your purchase, pleading with you to leave a review, despite the fact that you have barely had a chance to use the product and determine whether it is good or not. Ignore them until you've used the product and realized that, yes, it is excellent and deserving of a five-star rating. 2) The spoons are wonderful, but the ring that holds them together is a disaster. When you go to use one of the spoons attached to the ring, the weight of the other spoons pulls the ring open, allowing the spoons you aren't using to fall free and scatter all over the place. It's all right. Alternatively, keep the spoons separate and replace the ring with something more durable. The ring is a minor flaw in an otherwise excellent product.
I received these today, and upon opening the 1/8th teaspoon, the metal appears to be corroded or not genuine stainless, with the metal coloring peeling away. I was really looking forward to using these, but now I'm concerned about the quality and accuracy of the stainless steel. This item will be returned to me.
It appears that the measurements are incorrect. When I tested volume with my older measuring spoons, each new spoon appeared to be 1/4 or more short of 'full. ' I did not approach this in the same scientific way that another reviewer did. I tried filling my old spoons with water to see if they would fill the new spoons to the same measurement. Each new spoon required more liquid to reach the rim's volume. These will be returned to you.
I have an old set of Endurance rectangular measuring spoons that I found to be inaccurate. I purchased the Spring Chef set in the hopes of getting a more accurate result. However, I discovered that the Spring Chef 1 tablespoon spoon does not fit in all of my spice containers, and that the set is no more accurate than my old Endurance set, which does. A food scale and 12 oz. white granulated sugar can be used to check the spoons' accuracy. Per tablespoon, there are 50 grams. For instance, the Spring Chef 1 teaspoon measure contained 27% more sugar than expected for a teaspoon and 31% more sugar than the amount from two of the 1/2 teaspoon measures% I was hoping for the spoons to arrive within 2010 and ideally within 5% of the expected time of the expected time of the expected time of the expected time br>br>I'm giving this a 3 or average rating because the inaccuracy and inconvenient nature of it is similar to that of several other stainless steel measuring spoon sets I've tried. The plastic PourFect measuring spoons that were described as calibrated were within about 5% of the expected amounts for comparison.
These measuring spoons were given as a gift, and while they are sturdy and appear to work as intended, the aesthetics leave something to be desired. They come with a cheap-looking cardboard backing and don't nest neatly when stacked, instead bulging awkwardly. They're made of thicker steel than you'd need to hold such a small quantity of ingredients. The finish is uneven and prone to blemishes where some of the spoons nestle tightly, and some of the edges are rough and not uniform. The handles, on the other hand, are comfortable and smooth, as well as long enough to fit inside tall spice jars. Despite some flaws, the shape of the spoons, as well as the addition of 1/8 and 3/4 teaspoon sizes to the standard set, should make this a versatile and affordable set.
