It is stated in the description that it fits all containers, but it only refers to new containers with lids that have an attachment point. Was disappointed that neither the photos nor the location were made more clear. I would like to return it, but I soaked it first, so I'm unsure if I can.
I didn't and my cups don't side on the underside of my lid as I did not buy a new lid. My lid is an older model that didn't have that area for the cups to sit.
Using this to prevent brown sugar from drying out was a big hit with me. A couple of things bother me about it. To put it in the Oxo lid, you have to soak it in warm water for 15 minutes (apparently you need to repeat this process each time) Make sure it is soaked often. It only took a few days for the brown sugar to dry up. Using a clip on a bag of brown sugar makes it last longer! Taking the lid insert out to soak every few days is not to everyone's taste. I will not be able to accomplish this. It is not worth the money you are spending.
As far as I know, this does not attach to all Oxo Pop containers. I was unaware of this when I bought it. There must be a little knob on the bottom of the lid for this to work. It seems excessive for brown sugar to have a knob on the bottom of my only ones with knobs. As planned, I was not able to attach it to the device I was going to use For whatever reason I didn't investigate further, but I can't seem to find a way to attach it to a.
You know how important it is not to pack flour into your measuring cup when you bake. To scoop, always use a light hand. As a result, I keep scoopers in each of my flour canisters for this very purpose, though these scoopers are in more of a measuring cup shape. It is then impossible for the flour to slide out of the end, resulting in the flour being packed Afterward, you have to clean up a mess when you try to slide it into your measuring cup. It is really a surprise to me how well it is received Having short handles really helps to fit the scoop into smaller containers, as I can fit it into a couple of smaller jars. It's the only thing I can say positively about the trip. After the first four scoops broke, I purchased four more that worked much better and were much cheaper.
Following the directions to the letter was a no-brainer for me. As soon as I tried to use my brown sugar (I had bought a new bag of brown sugar when I used this device), it was hard. I don't know what I did wrong. In light of the failed product, I ordered a Terra cotta pieces so I could place directly into the brown sugar.
In fact, I do not have the Oxo pop canisters that this is supposed to fit I have ceramic When I see something like this, rather than having to get out a knife to measure flour, I keep it in my flour canister with a scoop, rather than using it every time. The service is convenient as well. However, I am not sure how well it fits on an Oxo, but it fits all my needs and is slim enough to fit but wide enough for me to use it.
