Questions & Answers

Is there a way to store these items inside of the large one?

One of my 1 cups is nestled inside the other in the kitchen At the moment, I have a cup in hand. The use of Glass is cautious for me - However, it is made of glass. Clearly, this is not the old Pyrex glass made of borosilicate!

Is there a wear and tear on the markings?

This is a great question, thanks! It's not a secret. So I went to look at the collection and here's what I found To begin with, I have three sets of Pyrex in the cupboard right now. However, one of those sets is OLD and it is a single 2-piece. Since B., I have been carrying around this cup piece. Another set I purchased from Costco (many moons ago) and the 3-in-1 set. I purchased one of these sets from Amazon (about a year and a half ago). On the very old one, the markings are more vibrant (red) than those on It's the Costco set (marked in dark blue color) that is the most worn (faded) but evenly so, so it is Despite the bright red markings, the Amazon set is still in good condition. As seen from the logo (specifically the letter P), the Pyrex set is different from the Costco set or the two-piece set It leads me to wonder whether they're not knock-offs, for they are now the authentic relic, which I'll now call 'the real deal' These appear to be knock-offs from China, even when the label says "made in the USA." and how long they will last. *br>So, let's recap. Amazon has strong markings, but the rankings are still low. It is highly likely that this product is authentic and is long lived.

There is a big batter bowl from Pampered Chef that I broke and would like to replace it. Which is better between them? Anyone have both and like one more than ?

The Anchor Hocking Batter Bowl is my preference for glass it is a simple, yet effective design An entirely clear bowl with a handle and raised measure markings plus a plastic snap-on lid is available. It is on the Melamine mixing bowls (about $15) For those who do not like glass, a set of 3 with grips is also nice to use. They are very secure because of the rubber gasket in the bottom. However, it is more expensive. The cost is about

So today, when I started using this measuring cup, I noticed that the handle is bent and that the pouring spout is not aligned. Is this a normal occurrence?

Whenever I pour anything from the Pyrex measuring cups (2, 4, 8 cups), it is sloppy. It is, however, aligned on the handles and the lips of the pouring spout.

The red markings on the measurement tags wear off as they drip and spill everywhere
3/5

The nests are my favorite feature, which is why I give them two stars. In the photos, you may find it difficult to tell, but the red measurement markings disappeared instantly after they were applied. Although I do put them in the dishwasher, I usually wash them by hand. Furthermore, the spouts are deformed and too small, causing liquid to slop all over the place, regardless of how fast or slow the drink is poured. It's okay if you're pouring into a large bowl, but you're going to make a mess trying to fill a small bottle or something similar, and spilling it makes the whole point of measuring pointless. In light of these reasons, I'm ready to drop kick them to the trash. The product is not worth buying again and I would not recommend it.

How Pyrex ended up. Pyrex is not the same as it used to be, the design has changed, so take the time to The cup with worn prints and a chinstrap may need to be replaced. You cannot pour without spilling without having to turn on the fan. After brewing a pot of hot tea, I strain it into the large measuring cup and pour it into mugs. The result is hot, hot, dripping mess all over. I'll try again tomorrow, so don't worry, everything will be OK. Having bathed three days in a row, I woke up with big wet messes and a few burns as well. Listed below are the reasons you would be better off finding another cup if you need to pour from these. creases the edge of its cup so that a lip will form when it is poured. There is a problem with the way it is formed, resulting in it dripping down the side of the cup every time. There will be a flurry of liquid that will rush over the edge of the cup to the left and to the You'd be amazed at how much fluid runs down the side of the cup the more you try to squeeze into your other container (tea mug). The frustration is great. On the other hand, I have a different design that features a hooked symbol, like you would use to anchor a boat, and it works perfectly. You will find out why from the following. The pouring lip of the other brand has a raised lip to the left and to the right, respectively. With great success, this FEATURE acts as a funnel to direct the liquids into the pouring lip (which is essential when it is hot). Notice the vast difference between the two Amazon pictures of the same product. In Pyrex, there is no thought in the design, while in the other form and function features are designed by the user. I would like to add my two Although I don't review these products, I do not want other parents out there to find out the hard way that these can burn you or your kids who are standing under you at the counter! In my opinion, Anchor Hocking 77940COM Anchor 77940 3- is the best system available. Measuring cup set with three cups, made of clear plastic.

There are no real Pyrex borosilicates in this
3/5

You shouldn't use this for extreme temperatures because it will break. A number of people have been seriously injured by using this device. Through the use of the same name for laboratory grade borosilicate and this normal glassware, Pyrex has destroyed their own brand.

Pyrex is not the same as This was the first cup set I bought for myself this year and I found they were dribbling down the side of the cup
3/5

I had thought it was me spilling the liquid, but then I noticed it was the cup set. My problem with the four cup size was that I thought I had done something incorrectly, was holding it incorrectly, was pouring too fast, etc. Then, I looked at the reviews to see if anyone else had the same issue and lo and behold, everyone does! I'm so happy! There are others who are experiencing the same problems as I hate to say it, but now Pyrex's quality and reputation in our household are both ruined. Someone has altered the design in a way that is not in Since then, I have avoided using the new measuring cups and only use the one I have, I will call it my "vintage" Pyrex In my opinion, this new Pyrex stuff is not the same as the original Pyrex. That's why I now go hunting at yard sales for the original Pyrex pieces.

We have been let down
3/5

As with many other reviewers, I was expecting Pyrex to be like the one my mother and grandmother used. I have my own one You can still read the markings on the cup measure, which is 32 years old. It's the third set I've bought since I dropped my first two The ceramic tile floor was measured with a cup. I was surprised when I ran them through the dishwasher for the first time and they were clean and still in great shape The cup measure was Can it be washed in the dishwasher? It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I was very disappointed in A product you can depend on.

There is no need to wash off the marks
3/5

It was about nine months ago that I bought these. In the past, I have washed them in the dishwasher once or twice per week. I kept them in a cupboard for a long time. The markings have worn off on the one. In addition, there is a They have become useless now that they are cup measures. It's not recommended to use these cups in a dishwasher While they are advertised as safe, there is no guarantee.

Using the 4 cup makes a mess without being able to pour it easily
3/5

The measuring cup I had is 4 cups Pyrex and I needed an extra. The combination pack that came with a 4 2 1 measuring cup assortment was what I ordered. When you try to pour the Pyrex into the 4 cup line, it spills everywhere. The 2 cup and 1 cup work fine. The 4 cup Pyrex cannot be filled to the line without it spilling all over the place. The mess I made was a result of pouring out the water too quickly or tilting the pyrex too far or not tilting the pyrex enough to stop it washing down the sides. There was no way to straighten it out or tilt it to prevent In truth, it is kind of worthless when used for a measuring cup with four cups. In fact, I went and got my existing cup instead, which cannot do this, and very sure enough the spout is different in shape. Posting a picture is what I did. It's the clear glass one on the right side of both photos that is "my old pyrex 4" cup. There is one Pyrex 4 cup on the left in the set at left, the glass of which is blue. This batch has a smaller spout than those that I received from Pyrex. I presume this is because Pyrex has just contracted these out to another facility to make them and my batch is There is a chance that your experience may be better.
