The 2 cup measure has worked well for me in the following situations:
- br>microwaving butter - 1 bouillon cube, dissolved in boiling water 2 cups broth (in case you need it while cooking)br>- removing hot items such as brown butter or pan sauce from the heat source - Simply pour it in.
The bottom of a two-story building is a great place to start. The cup is small enough to fit on top of another two-cup set. There will be no more than an inch of overlap between the two nesting cups. As a result, no. I have the 1/2, 1, 2, and 3 in my possession. They nest nicely in 4 cup, but I'm pretty sure they won't nest well in same-size cups.
They do have a translucent quality to them. Although not as clear as glass, the contents inside can be seen in comparison to the outside measurements.
They've been in my possession for almost six years, and the lettering is still crisp and legible. They've never seen the inside of my dishwasher because I only wash them by hand.

I bought it for camping. The picture I posted shows two cups of liquid, as measured by a dollar store set and a good ol' standard Pyrex cup that I've used for years at home. Both reached the same level of achievement. I'm disappointed because I expected a brand name to be better than other manufacturers, so I paid more. br>br>WARNING: DO NOT RECOMMEND! EDIT: br>br> Those who disagree with my findings should read my response to Pony for a more detailed explanation of how I arrived at my conclusions. Congratulations if you were able to find a cup with usable markings. That was not the case.
These are great for mixing resin because you don't have to keep buying disposable mixing cups, and you won't have to worry about the resin curing because it's silicone and will pop out and/or scrape off if you're forgetful or lazy about cleaning your containers.
Is it possible to hold them inside a pot of boiling water without getting burned? NO, liquids do not dribble down the side as you pour. yay! It's up to OXO to put an end to this annoyance! I adore pyrex, but I can't stand how bad (pour?) it is. Ha ha! ) technology! I tried to include a video in this review because I believe that pictures speak louder than words, but it wouldn't let me (Ur! ) So you'll have to believe me when I say that I tried pouring water and melted butter in large and barely dribbling streams, and neither of them ran down the side of the cup. And, yes, you can hold them inside a pot of boiling water without getting burned! These measuring cups are the most precise I've ever seen. They can be used by both left and right-handed people. You can put them in the microwave without fear of them melting or burning your hands, they stack nicely and don't take up much space in the cupboard, and apparently they are dish washer safe, though I'm still worried about the markings coming off because I've had this happen with pyrex glass measuring cups. It appears that the print won't come off of these, but I hand wash mine anyway, just in case. I can't say enough good things about these, and I'm considering giving them as Christmas gifts this year. I also bought the four-cup one, and this set of three fit perfectly inside; the silicone is nice in that you don't have to worry about them breaking if you drop them, and they are squeezable but not to the point of collapsing and spilling the contents. I'm a stickler for kitchen gadgets and am constantly looking for ways to improve them, but I think OXO did a fantastic job with these. My pyrex is going to the yard sale!.
br>br>I bought this Oxo Good Grips measuring jug in the 4 cup size (it's the most versatile) and I haven't used any of my other measuring jugs since! It's perfect for warming water in the microwave for my bread dough, and I find myself reaching for it several times a day (I'm a recipe tester, so I cook a lot). br> More importantly, it pours without dribbling all over my counter! br>br>Overall, this is an excellent addition to my kitchen arsenal! In my teeny-tiny kitchen, I no longer allow anything less than the best. I simply no longer have the space or patience for inferior products (see you later, Pyrex measuring jugs!)br>Highly recommended! br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Because some of the reviews mentioned inaccuracy, I decided to compare all four of my oxo silicone measuring cups to my lab beaker to ensure that the primary measurement was accurate. In milliliters, there is a discrepancy. A tablespoon measures 15 mls in the United States. Please see the photos I have attached. br>br>The 1000ml/32oz was over by 50ml/1000br>The 500ml/16oz was over by 10ml/500br>The 250ml/8oz was under by 10ml/250br>The 120ml/4oz was under by 10ml/120br>Please keep in mind that those measurements are for the ones I have; it's possible that they may vary. br>br>Inaccuracies may not make a significant difference in some recipes. It could make a significant difference for others. They're still one of my favorites because of their versatility and ease of use. I just wish that more care had been taken to ensure accuracy. They'd take the place of every other measuring cup and jug in my kitchen if they were accurate. As is, I'll continue to use them to transfer liquids from one vessel to another, which is why I bought them in the first place. They're particularly useful for making dressings in a food processor or blender, as they allow you to gradually add the oil. I don't use them as my primary measuring cups; instead, I use Culinary Institute measuring cups and spoons, as well as my lab beaker. Oxo, on the other hand, was a little late to the game. These had the potential to be the best measuring cups ever. The versatility of pouring and funneling, as well as the ability to heat liquids, melt butter and coconut oil in the microwave, and so on, is unrivaled. If only these measuring cups had the ability to actually measure something! br>br>Would you please click the helpful button if this review was beneficial to you? Because of the squishy sides, a white line formed and there was a risk of burn. The smell reminds me of vinyl. I really wanted to like this product because the idea of an indestructible measuring cup appealed to me. I boil water for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and other beverages on a daily basis, so I ordered this, cleaned it thoroughly, and filled it with 44 cups of water. I boiled water in the soft sided cup because the line was perfect and matched the rest of my cups. br> The water now had a vinyl or plastic odor to it. When the sides were grasped, the sides squished together, allowing the now boiling water to rise to the top. When filled to the brim, this thing is a fire hazard. I took a break and tried again after it had cooled down. a similar odor Burn risk is the same. I'd requested a return because a white line had formed at the water's edge.
