A chef never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever Hand washing is required at all times. To be polite, but you shouldn't be looking at fine cutlery if you have to ask. It should be hand-washed and dried before being returned to its sheath or knife block, rather than being tossed into a drawer. Buy a cheap SS knife if you want to use it in the dishwasher.
This knife will do exactly what it's supposed to do.
Thank you for reaching out to us with your query. The reason for the price difference is due to the materials used. The Shogun Series is made of high carbon Japanese steel and has a G10 handle (which is more expensive than the Gladiator Series' steel and pakkawood). When it comes to the Damascus pattern on the blade, yes, if you polish it too much, the design will come off (which would happen on ANY blade with damascus markings).
Thank you for your inquiry; our Shogun Series features a G10 Garolite handle that is ambidextrous. This is intended for use by left-handed people. right-handed and left-handed With equal ease, I've handed people.

To begin, I'll say that Dalstrong products are hit or miss for me. This knife was purchased for the purpose of processing poultry and light bone chopping. The spatchcocking of a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner was one of my first jobs. Of course, the bones were a little tougher than chicken's, but I was very careful with this knife, and it easily cut through the back bone. However, while cleaning the knife, I noticed some very fine chipping where I cut through the wish bone. I was able to grind out the chips with my sharpening stones, but it was disappointing because I had hoped for a more durable edge on this style knife, which I could understand if it were a slicing knife. It's a razor-sharp knife, but it can only be used on boneless cuts for the time being. For any bone cuts, I still have to use the meat clever, but I believe a much cheaper knife would have done a better job.
One of the most impressive knives I've ever seen. For more than 35 years, I've worked in the restaurant industry. Packaging is the best because it reveals a lot about a company and how they feel about their product just by looking at it. Peppers, tomatoes, and zucchini can be sliced with little effort. This will be my new and only knife from now on. It has a nice balance and a nice feel to it. Thank you, Dalstrong, for creating such wonderful knives and taking such good care of them.
I prefer traditional bullnose butcher knives to other designs, and I own a number of them in various brands and steels. The Damascus design appeals to me because it is visually appealing. The middle layer is made of Japanese premium super steel. I believe this will be my go-to recipe in the future. I'd already started replacing a few other knives in my kitchen with Dalstrong knives. br>.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa WOW ! I'm not a fan of flashy knives, but the metal finishing on this one is impeccable. On arrival, the item was sharp and ready to use. It passes the rockwell test with a 63-degree Fahrenheit temperature range. I love that a butchers knife this well made comes with a tactical sheath, and it arrived in excellent condition. Despite being a full tang, it balances on a dowel at the blade's base. (This means the tang and blade are one piece) I'm impressed!.
This knife's weight makes it ideal for slicing brisket or chopping up a large piece of meat from Costco into steaks. It's nice and sharp, and it slashes through things like butter. Because of its sturdy construction, this knife will last a long time. It's not a problem if you need to cut up a large watermelon.
It's a great knife, and it's stunning to look at. I bought this for my son, who is becoming increasingly interested in smoking and grilling. This knife is razor-sharp and a pleasure to use. I'm going to get one for myself because I love it so much. This edge makes me very happy. It's impossible to go wrong with one of these.
If you're looking for a knife that can do a lot of different things, this is the one to get.
