Questions & Answers

It is possible to cook 4 cups of rice in the 4 cups. Are you asking for 8 quarters?

You could look it up on Google, but here's what you need to know In terms of weight, 180 grams of dry uncooked rice is equal to a cup of dry rice. A 3968-pound package. In order to come up with 19 cups, there are four cups in a quart. In 4, measure out two cups. The serving size is eight quarts. Now you have to multiply 19 by 10. The volume (volume of 2 cups) divided by the weight (weight of 180 grams) gives you 34,560 grams, or three cups. It weighs 456 kilograms. Divide 3 by the conversion factor of kg to pounds. By multiplying 456Kg by 2, we get . The weight per kilogram is 2 lbs. This amount of rice is 89 pounds. The quantity of food you can consume at one sitting is excessive. I wish you all the best in your cooking!

Are we able to wash this pan in the dishwasher?

My point of view is the same as Erv Crain's. It "seasons" like cast iron as it becomes more and more seasoned. While it does not turn black, it does darken and becomes easier to clean. Almost always, I use a dish brush to wash it by hand since it is always porous. Following this, I dry it with a towel and place it back under the heat for just a minute to dry it. Then I let it cool so it can be put enjoy my caldero very much and it is very responsible for making very good Puerto Rican rice! I hope

0 refers to how many. Does the 7quart pot work in a microwave?

That is an awesome There is nothing like this pot, and it has to be treated accordingly
5/5

Because the handles get hot, I have to touch them with a rag or mitt. The pot came dirty, but after washing and coating with olive oil, it works wonderfully. You would think the material would cause any food to get stuck or burn, but somehow it doesn't. This heater heats up quickly on low and performs best on low voltage A medium heat setting. When it starts to look dark I wash it with Brillo pads and it gets shiny again. I wash it with a regular sponge every couple of uses and when it looks dark again I wash with Brillo pads.

A lid with an uneven texture
3/5

I don't even fit in there. It was so exciting to receive my pot and use it right away. I took it out of the bag, washed it, and started cooking it. My whole day was great till I tried to cover it, and as you can see from the pictures, the lid didn't Even though I try to put the lid the right way around, I still can't get the edges of the pot to meet the As this is used for making rice and one of the most important things is to seal it properly, I am unable to even use it, let alone return it because it has already been used.

In my 20+ years of cooking rice, I have found that rice cooks best in a caldero because the lid does not close properly
3/5

In an unfortunate accident I fell asleep while making rice and damaged the last IMUSA cauldron of mine. Having not had any cooking pots for almost a decade, I was super excited for this product to arrive. The price is great, too I hadn't had one that big in a while. I only use this pot to make rice, which is literally the only thing I can do with it. It is difficult to find a lid that fits snugly on the pot, so lots of steam escapes. It may have seemed like the lid fit snugly at first, but as soon as the rice started steaming, it started slipping. When you cook rice with an open lid, the rice doesn't come out as good as it could. The only way to keep the steam from escaping is to wrap aluminum foil around the pot top if you have already past the return window. Then I would have to do that each time I made rice instead of just purchasing a new pot when I could just purchase another one. The second design flaw is found in the content itself. As well as the handles becoming extremely hot quickly and needing to be handled with a potholder, they also tend to lose their shape. It also has another flaw, since the lid cannot be baked. Even though the price is low, this may not be a deal breaker for some customers.

Another suggestion for those who own one of these products By rubbing some olive oil on the inside of the pot after cleaning it, you can season If the rice doesn't stick as often, it won't stick as often.

Very well done! For the price, this is a good cauldron
5/5

It comfortably makes 2 cups of rice in I was impressed with the size of this pot and how easy it was to clean! I even used a pegao to wash it! was just going through the 4 when I saw it. A sale for 8 qt caught my eye, so I picked it up. Thank you for the product. I am very happy with it.

I advise you to stay This is a terrible product, the lid was shipped upside down because it was so warped that there is no way to close it I agree with those who have stated that the lid has an odd shape
3/5

I am not sure if it is bent or the cast is incorrect, but I tried to find the "sweet spot" to close the gap without leaving one, but I couldn't get it to work. Since this is my second product I have received in poor quality from IMUSA, I would not purchase anything from them in the future. In the event that it was able to shut, the quality is not much better.

A wrong lid has been placed on the bottle
3/5

Unlike a lid, the pot does not fit the lid. This pot was essential for my Thanksgiving arroz con gandules, and I won't be able to use it anyway. For now, I will have to make other things in the pot without a lid.

I found it to be far more useful than I expected! It seems pretty small based on the description, but it's the smart-bomb of Dutch ovens when it comes to cooking for a single person
5/5

There is a slight overlap (including handles) between the overall size and seven inches. Pots that are under 5 inches in diameter normally have an interior diameter of 5" The 3/8" size. In a single pot, 1/4 cup of Basmati rice (150 calories) can be cooked with room to spare for some chopped Three large eggs (210 calories) can fit in this cup. It took me nearly an hour to measure the liquid volume to the base of the bottle and I determined it was just over 600ml, which is about 21 ounces, which is about what a standard wine bottle is It is very well fitted, and the knob on top of the jar remains cool to the touch when it is This will fit into an 8" dutch oven, so by placing a spacer underneath the aluminum caldera, you can "double bake. " If you use a heated mat you can take it directly from stove-top to the kitchen table, although I recommend using a lexan spoon so that you don't scratch As long as the temperatures are kept low, enlarging sticks are not an issue when lubricating with sufficient oil/butter. Having the pot in my kitchen has become a convenience and a function I rely on. Furthermore, those of us who wish to reduce their caloric intake can do good by setting up a "portion control" system. This is a great item.

This is the cracked pot The pot was cracked all the way through, but it had been nicely boxed
3/5

In terms of the original pot, it might have been OK if it had been intact and functional, but a one-off issue like this is hard to overlook.
