That is not the case. Having used cast iron for 30 years, I know what it is like. I think that cast-iron pans are always the best way to cook food because they require a little maintenance, but as far as I am concerned there is nothing better than cooking With cast iron, you can cook on a stove, in a fireplace, or on a fire, in a multitude of ways, and I have never had rusty food with any cast iron dish I have served. My cast iron pan is a favorite of my family and I always cook an apple crisp on my grill, using it when it gets hot. No one ever complains about rusty taste with it or with anything I've You will appreciate the experience of using cast iron to cook your meals as soon as you learn how to maintain it.
I received mine with a cover that measures 13". A great service is what I like about mine.

I received it, placed it on a shelf, and then left for In the afternoon of July 11, 2020, I pulled the dutch oven off its shelf to bake some sourdough bread, but then was shocked to find that it was cracked in the side about 3 inches long. The first thing I did was go to Amazon. At 12 p. m. , I tried to return the oven but discovered that it had died. It was too late to return this item this morning, because it expired at one in the morning. As a result, I cannot recommend the cast iron products of Bayou Classic. While I concede that the return window might be set by Amazon, I stand by my previous statement. The Bayou Classic is hopefully going to notice this review and will accept the return.
A second, smaller Dutch oven was bought to prepare smaller meals now that I love my Dutch oven so much. There is a lot of interest from my neighbors It's amazing how many of them did not know that you could "bake" on top of a It was bought so that I would not have to use the oven very often. In addition to making it easier than frequently bending to bake, the cast iron makes sure that all the heat is evenly distributed, making it a delicious I love this purchase more than anything I have purchased in years.
The chili verde pot I used on my camping trip had a lid that could be turned upside down to heat tortillas. My husband went to the store and came home with a huge bag of chicken chow mein The main topic. Cooking with my new favorite pan has never been easier! Bayou, thanks for your kind words!.
I have quite a few other cast iron pieces, but this one is a keeper. Served 5 lbs of shrimp in a creole red sauce. I had to season it twice more before it was ready to be cooked and it worked well. However, I am just one of the few. () This is a great.
My favorite thing about this Dutch oven is that it's so easy to use. The cooktop is heavier than the others on the market, but that's probably a good thing since it means the cast iron is really thick, which means it is going to work well to spread This is a sturdy, well-built cutlery set, including a handle, and is very easy to season and take care of. It is expected to last for a lifetime and be able to cook a number of wonderful In addition to the size, I love to make two or three batches of the dishes I make, and a dutch oven this size makes it easy to do that.
I am very disappointed. One use of silver handle led to a broken handle. It seems like the lid has some type of wear spots on it that look like the coating is worn out. I also noticed that when being used in the oven, it emits an obnoxious smell which is almost similar to burning paint. This company is not worth buying from.
It's very versatile as well. During my time at the firehouses I work at, we have one in every station, and very rarely do we need to replace it. The dutch oven in their home was not damaged. Several houses have burned to the ground, yet their dutch oven is not. You'll find this is the best option if you're looking for something that will last for 30 years or longer. The only disadvantage is that it is not mobile. There is no way it can fit in a suitcase. In addition, you'll eventually rust if you don't keep it oiled.
