First and foremost, I must say that I have never received an item that was packaged as well as this cabinet, which has a lot of mirrored glass. So, well done. It had the look I was looking for and was reasonably priced. I received my order promptly. So far, I've reduced my rating due to two major factors. The first was the mounting design for the installation (surface mount). It's a disaster. The unit's bottom will be secured to the wall by a short aluminum bar with a shallow grove in which a ridge on the cabinet's bottom will sit. It is completely inadequate for the weight of this product, and the length of the bracket (approximately 8 inches) is far too short for accurate leveling, as any error will be magnified by the cabinet's height. The grove is far too shallow in its own right. To allow for some adjustment, the mounting bracket's grove and the lip on the bottom of the cabinet that slides into it should be much deeper. Please don't argue with me, Kohler. It isn't sufficient. After you've gotten the cabinet onto this mini bracket, you'll have to fumble with two clips on the top, which I've never seen before, and which are both awkard and dangerous to install because the bottom of the cabinet isn't held in place by much. It'll go down with a little jostling. Regardless, the mounting system is a shambles. br> The hinges are number two. They are, once again, unfit for the job. The mirror door swings out to about 110 degrees, and when it reaches its maximum angle, the hinges noticeably spring, despite the fact that they are not designed to stop the door from moving. There are hinges specifically designed for this purpose, and I'd gladly pay the extra $5 for them. Sure, you can be extremely cautious, but do any of you have grandchildren? These hinges aren't appropriate for this application. br> I suppose what irritates me is that I didn't expect Kohler to produce a poorly designed product. The cabinet is still one of my favorites, and it's a great deal. I'm a builder, so I'll do a couple of things to secure it to the wall better, and I'll just be cautious with the door.

So far, I've installed seven of these medicine cabinets in four different bathrooms and three different homes. That, I'd like to say, qualifies me as a super fan. They look fantastic, as you can see in the attached photo. But it's what you don't see that's the most interesting part. Everything is tucked away in the cupboards. These are always installed in my bathrooms to provide ample storage for all of the items that clutter the counter or drawers. I can easily locate my moisturizers, hair products, and other cosmetics in there. I prefer these to the over-the-toilet cabinets because I always worry that something will fall into the toilet with those. Also, if you mount them recessed in the wall, no one will be able to tell they're medicine cabinets! When they realize it's not a mirror, they're always surprised. When I need to see something up close, I like to use the mirror on the inside of the door. You simply swing open the door, and the mirror is right beside you. The one in oil-rubbed bronze is also very nice, and I purchased it as well!.

This medicine cabinet is quite lovely. My handyman paused and exclaimed, "Wow," as he took it out of the box. This item screams "high-end. " I know it's been said before, but I didn't pay attention and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the interior is also mirrored. As a result, the interior door is a mirror, as is the back of the cabinet (which can be seen through the shelves). This is convenient because you don't have to close the cabinet to use the mirror, which I find very convenient. When you need a close up, it also moves closer to your face. We currently have this sticking out of my wall, which looks fine, but it would look even better if it were recessed. I like it sticking out because I'm short, and with it sticking out about 5 inches, it's also 5 inches closer to my face, which is good for when I need to see close up (I also have bad eyesight). This is a far cry from the medicine cabinets I remember from my childhood, which looked more at home in a hospital than at home. I'm seriously considering purchasing two more for the rest of our bathrooms.

I'd give this cabinet a FIVE-STAR rating, but I'll factor in my husband's opinion to keep things fair. The mirror is well-made and durable. It was simple to set up; There were no missing parts, and the instructions for installation were easy to understand. Our bathroom looks great with the cabinet because it is both functional and attractive. It was surprising to find mirrored surfaces on the inside of the door and behind the cabinets. It turned out, however, to be a feature that enhances the cabinet's functionality. especially if we're sharing a room with our adolescent daughter. The only problem is that it is purely a matter of taste. In the pictures and description, the design is not clearly depicted. A series of delicate bows are interspersed between the raised bubble design in the frame's border. and it was here that the disparity between male and female perspectives influenced the rating. Most people, including visiting boys, are unlikely to notice the bows because they are subtle. My husband was a little taken aback by this feature. He was not, however, dissatisfied enough to return the cabinet and choose something else.
