It's hard to say. It's covered with a hard formica layer, so I believe it may be a thin fiberboard There is no way to tell what type of finish it is. The first time I saw it, I thought it may be a bit rinkey-dink It was a surprise to see how well made the product was when I opened the box. The thing I'm using is awesome. A great deal of garbage out there Keeping things stored in the right way. It's a good idea to have at least three, if you're going to buy one. It's best to leave a 5-inch gap between the hinge pin barrel and the wall at the center of the door.

It took no time at all for me to put them together and install them both. In this section, I would like to offer a little advice
1 Before hanging, measure the distance between the hinges to help set up the shelf. You should also hang the top hinge first.
2 Before hanging the shelf, make sure the metal bars are in place. A frustrating part of installing them is adding them later. You may attach the shelf inside the door after it has been attached to the frame.
The bathroom in my house doesn't have a medicine cabinet just a mirror, so it's pretty small, so storage is important. I figured I would give it a shot since I am prime eligible after my girlfriend found this item. I must say that this item arrived FAST, was packaged extremely well (it was better than expected) and It states that it requires two people to install, but I was able to put this together and hang it by myself in an hour with almost no effort and would take considerably less time if I did it again. It holds a ton of stuff and does not harm the door in any way. As much as I recommend it, I can't fully explain it. I am about to order the mirror version for my bedroom so I can declutter my countertops with colognes and knick knacks.
I really like how sleek and modern this piece looks. There is a strong feel to it. This piece would go behind a door so it has to be of high quality. For a quick reference to how deep the bathroom is, here is a useful formula for it With the shelf attached to the toilet paper roll, it barely fits on the shelf with the bar (that holds everything on the shelf). It is unsuitable to hold a double roll of toilet paper, especially one that is very thick. Certainly a good choice if you have a small bathroom, and I purchased it to cater to that need, but read all the fine print! My excitement over this cabinet was so great when I received it - now that it doesn't fit I'm even more disappointed than I would be otherwise. I don't have the space to put this cabinet behind my door in my tight little bathroom (which is bursting with storage needs). THERE IS A NEED FOR 3 I would recommend that the minimum distance between the hinge and the back wall is 1/2". As long as I have this cabinet installed in my enclosed bathroom space, the bathroom door will not open correctly, and the unit will not swing out wide enough for me to access it. As soon as I realized it didn't fit, I went back to the item description and it does mention that. BEWARE of so-called "buyer beware"! Make sure your clearance is up to date. Therefore, I had to attach it in an area I was not planning on or going to use (nor did I need). Therefore, it has now It definitely comes with some challenges when it comes to installing it 1) The instructions really gloss over where you should attach the hinges to the unit. Your cabinet's top is determined by the position of the hinges in relation to how high the product will be above the floor and how close it will be to the top of the door. As a result, I could determine the height of my mirror on my mirrored cabinet. Normally I am very adept at installing things, but it took me two or three tries and moving the hinges to get them to fit, so be prepared to use your "figure it out" skills since the instructions don't specify exactly how to install the gate. 2) The hinges and the wing nuts you use to attach them to the unit can have a significant effect on the desired location of the shelves once it is placed. When you realize that the nuts and hinges make it impossible for you to place a shelf or retention rod where you want it, the unit is already installed, and you won't be able to do anything about it until If you want to have a shelf at the same height as the hinges, do not place the hinges there. With the two wing nuts attached in adjacent pre-drilled holes, the hinge can be hung Two of the drilled holes leave you unable to attach shelves to, and four of them prevent retention rods from being contained. In general, it's not a huge issue but if you have specific shelf heights in mind, there is a 4 inch section at each hinge that can't be used.
The problem, however, is that it suffers a glaring flaw. There is no magnetic latch, and it's a complete A magnet of this strength would be too powerful to pull the cabinet open easily. By pulling the latch plate off the door, it actually pulled off the double-sided sticky tape that attached the latch plate to the door. Furthermore, the screws used to attach the magnet were not the right kind in size for that purpose. It was impossible to fit the flat head screws into the slots on the magnet mount because the heads were too large. Using a flat head screw in such a way is not appropriate. Specifically, they needed a "round head" (flat under the head) screw that would fit into the slot flat. In addition, the screws were too short for being able to anchor well in the cabinet's top. I had to go to Home Depot and purchase a smaller (less powerful) magnet and new screws to attach it to the top of the cabinet in order for the cabinet to function as intended. After drilling the holes into the cabinet top, I bought machine screws, washers, and nuts to replace those that were missing. Having a very secure mounting for the magnet latch gives me peace of mind. It took me a while to get the cabinet installed and functional, but I cannot recommend it as is unless you have the mechanical aptitude to modify the latch and install a different one.
There is (was) nothing good about the mirror glue. There is a picture showing an example of how the glue is We were able to stand it up, but it then fell. In the absence of my husband's steel toe boots, some terrible damage would have been done to the house.
