Questions & Answers

Isn't expeller pressing (as opposed to cold pressing) supposed to negate some of the benefits?

No, the GLA is still intact after expelling and passes all tests. Expeller pressing is similar to cold pressing in that it uses a mechanical means to express oils rather than solvents. Some seeds require more pressure, which causes the press to generate heat, while others are easier to press and remain at lower temperatures, but this varies depending on the item being pressed.

What is the quantity of oleic acid in each capsule?

Borage oil typically contains 15 to 20 percent oleic acid. oleic acid acid naturally occurring acid acid acid acid acid acid acid acid

Is there any pyrrolizidine alkaloids in this supplement?

On the label, there isn't anything about this.

What size pills do you have? I'd like my toddler to swallow them, but I'm not sure she'll be able to if they're too big?

They're way too big for a kid!

It appears to be effective in the treatment of skin and joint inflammation
5/5

I've been using it for almost two months now, and while the effects are subtle, they are noticeable. I eat a low-fat diet and, unfortunately, I was also consuming far too much bourbon. My skin was pale and prone to cracking and breaking out, resulting in blemishes that lasted for weeks and led to inflammation and irritation. I tried to improve my diet by taking vitamins, using moisturizers, and taking omega 3 supplements, but I still had major problems; however, since taking this, my skin has started to behave much better. My joints, with the exception of my back, are also feeling much better. I used to have problems with my elbows locking and snapping, but that hasn't happened in a long time. I can not say 100% that this product is completely responsible however I have not had any negative problems and my improvements correspond to the time I have been taking this supplement and my%.

I ordered a bottle of this and it was foul-tasting--it had a nice effect topically but no difference otherwise
3/5

smelling. This led me to believe that the oil had turned rancid. I attempted to return it, and they promptly sent me a replacement, free of charge and without the need for a return, which is extremely convenient. I was concerned because neither bottle's safety seals had been sealed. br>br>I use this supplement in conjunction with my wild-caught salmon. For the GLA, I caught fish oil. I haven't noticed any differences between taking it orally and taking it by mouth. br>br>I also read that applying it topically to your skin is beneficial, so I cut one open and applied it to the backs of my hands. My hands appeared to be in good condition as a result of the treatment. br>br>For the time being, I'm giving it three stars because of the excellent customer service: they replaced a defective product without requiring me to do anything else that I don't have time to do. If and when I notice a difference (or not) from taking it as a supplement, I'll update this post.

Someone suggested I try Phenocane, which did help, but only temporarily
5/5

I had a lot of pain in the left side of my neck (levels 7 to 9) and was taking a lot of over-the-counter pain relievers. Someone suggested I try Phenocane, which I did, but I later discovered Borage Oil after doing some online research. It has had a significant impact. My pain has decreased to 0 to 3 since I started taking one in the morning and another at bedtime. For severe pain, I strongly advise you to take Borage oil and Phenocane. It took 10 to 2 weeks for it to build up in my system and help me feel better.

Before you place an order, double-check the interactions
3/5

I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in taking it. again. It's something I've done a couple of times. I'm on a tricyclic, and it's possible that if I take this, I'll have seizures. For some reason, I looked into this supplement more thoroughly than I had looked into other supplements, and sure enough, there was a problem. The problem isn't with the product; it's with the way it's packaged. It's because it clashes with a prescription I'm on. So there you have it- a lesson learned. Always check to see if any of your medications or supplements interact with one another.
