We have now found the perfect solution for a member of our family who needs a safety rail to stand up from the toilet independently. His situation is that he must only press up with one arm and that other frames can tip to one side when not both sides are exerting equal pressure. In the event that you are suffering from a stroke, have an amputee, shoulder surgery or have any other condition that causes indifference in the pressure on one side while standing, this may be the solution. I also found this to be the easiest piece of equipment to put together out of all the aids I've constructed over the last year. I'm small, elderly, and it took me no more than 10 minutes to do. As far as I can tell, the photos that are included with the description are better than the ones I can upload. There are prices that differ by up to $100 for the same item made by the same manufacturer when I look around. The price tag is high in comparison with other toilet frames, but the purchase is well worth the money. Though it may seem impossible, it can very easily be removed from around the toilet for mopping the floor and cleaning the toilet with two simple adjustments. It was our third attempt to install toilet rails and this is what we managed to achieve. Whether or not your feet are flat, this table adjusts to a height of 31". There is a high toilet, a 3" riser, and a bidet on top of the toilet, and this was the only frame that had a high enough arm.
It stands out as far as I'm concerned compared to the others I've seen on Amazon due to its sturdy construction, easy assembly despite no instructions, and adjustable arms. There are some major flaws in it that would make it perfect except that they are too big for us to live with. The cons are 1) While the armrests can be adjusted quite a bit, you can't adjust the width very much. A person who has difficulty standing up may have a somewhat wide stance in an enclosed space due to this, which might make it difficult to fit in an enclosed space. 3) Not a major problem, but quite an annoyance Whenever your fingers are placed in that cavity, whatever lubrication is used gets on your hand, which is a bit gross. Since the armrests are adjustable, there is a cavity beneath them that isn't the most comfortable to touch. *3) The legs of the safety rail may stick out too much in front depending on the shape of your toilet, as was the case for our toilet. 4) The armrests themselves seem to be the biggest flaw. It is quite disappointing to find these are not made of padded or rubberized arms as I had assumed they would be. They are made of hard plastic that feels a bit cheap. makes items like this nearly impossible to use since you interact most with its primary component. After touching it once, my mother, who has mobility limitations, waived the item off of her shopping list. It offered good build quality, adjustment, and unlike other safety rails, did not prevent the installation of a bidet seat.
Without a textured grip, the armrests are extremely slippery and a safety hazard. if this product is redesigned after addressing these issues in the future it will eventually be the perfect or close to perfect toilet safety rail, but as this item is now, we must return it and search for a more appropriate product.
Even though we had tubes for safety rails, they were still wobbly, and they weren't in a very good position for her to push herself up with. I think this frame is fantastic! Because it is built very sturdy, and has wider arms that resemble chairs, she is much safer and more comfortable when using it. As well, they help her ease herself into a sitting position, as opposed to plopping down on the floor! I found the installation to be very simple. Nothing needs to be done with tools. Only thing I am concerned about is that because our bathroom has the toilet right by the door, facing sideways, that requires the foot to stick out a little bit farther than what I would like. But I can live with that given the way our bathroom is configured. Just a note for anyone else who might have a problem in this regard. The foot sticks out about 30 cm from the bottom of the shoe Into the room, 31" of air is blown. You might need a lot of soap, depending on how big/shape your toilet bowl is. My entire experience with this purchase has been great, and I am absolutely delighted with the.
We thus decided to try a frame for the toilet. It could not have gone better for us. It is definitely more of an investment, but if you need something long-lasting, the cost would be reasonable Then this is the term for you! A simple setup is required for the frame. It doesn't move in the slightest at all, and is sturdy. The riser type is much harder to keep in good condition. By having a frame, you can sit right on the toilet seat, so the opening is smaller, so there is no risk of spills and leaks. In order to get up from a normal-height seat, you must have the upper body strength, but the arms provide adequate support to help you.
The product was used in the bathroom of my mother At 86 years old, she is still going strong. A few months ago I purchased another three portable chairs, but In spite of her best efforts, my mother did not feel safe going to the bathroom alone, Frames for toilets for the elderly According to their description, it is just as they say. When you sit on it, it is sturdy, and when you get up, it is even more sturdy. The product was exactly what I was looking for, and my mother loved it as well. As she said, it does not move at all. A fall can mean a lot to an elderly person, especially if the elderly person experiences a fall like my mother did. It's most important that they stay safe by not falling.
The item is very sturdy and of high quality. You can easily slide the arm rests in and out if you need to use them or get them Keeping them together is the best thing for us. Our team was able to accomplish our mission. This type of toilet bar allows you to adjust the height lower than another brand, which is more comfortable for my mother. In addition to being able to adjust them higher, they can also be reduced. It appeared to be very sturdy and just what mom needed, so the physical therapist took pictures of it in its set-up. As well as being fast to set up, it was also easy to use.
It is easy to use and quite rugged. My opinion is that it's excellent. I had a lot of trouble installing it and it has been It has been one of the most impressive things they have seen in their work, according to all the physical and occupational therapists who visited my mother. seems to be a bit pricey, but I believe it is worth the cost.
