It stands out as far as I'm concerned compared to the others I've seen on Amazon due to its sturdy construction, easy assembly despite no instructions, and adjustable arms. There are some major flaws in it that would make it perfect except that they are too big for us to live with. The cons are 1) While the armrests can be adjusted quite a bit, you can't adjust the width very much. A person who has difficulty standing up may have a somewhat wide stance in an enclosed space due to this, which might make it difficult to fit in an enclosed space. 3) Not a major problem, but quite an annoyance Whenever your fingers are placed in that cavity, whatever lubrication is used gets on your hand, which is a bit gross. Since the armrests are adjustable, there is a cavity beneath them that isn't the most comfortable to touch. *3) The legs of the safety rail may stick out too much in front depending on the shape of your toilet, as was the case for our toilet. 4) The armrests themselves seem to be the biggest flaw. It is quite disappointing to find these are not made of padded or rubberized arms as I had assumed they would be. They are made of hard plastic that feels a bit cheap. makes items like this nearly impossible to use since you interact most with its primary component. After touching it once, my mother, who has mobility limitations, waived the item off of her shopping list. It offered good build quality, adjustment, and unlike other safety rails, did not prevent the installation of a bidet seat.

Without a textured grip, the armrests are extremely slippery and a safety hazard. if this product is redesigned after addressing these issues in the future it will eventually be the perfect or close to perfect toilet safety rail, but as this item is now, we must return it and search for a more appropriate product.

Even though we had tubes for safety rails, they were still wobbly, and they weren't in a very good position for her to push herself up with. I think this frame is fantastic! Because it is built very sturdy, and has wider arms that resemble chairs, she is much safer and more comfortable when using it. As well, they help her ease herself into a sitting position, as opposed to plopping down on the floor! I found the installation to be very simple. Nothing needs to be done with tools. Only thing I am concerned about is that because our bathroom has the toilet right by the door, facing sideways, that requires the foot to stick out a little bit farther than what I would like. But I can live with that given the way our bathroom is configured. Just a note for anyone else who might have a problem in this regard.
