There is no way around it. It is water based, and chocolate (including white chocolate) will melt and split if It is necessary to buy oil. These colours are based on Wilton or powdered color.
There is no difference in taste between the various colors, and they won't affect the taste of anything they're
You are right. It's been over 40 years since I started using Wilton colors. Others exist, but they aren't as good as the Wilton ones in the sense that they have hard lumps that are hard to remove. It is a company I know I can depend on for a long time and that will be there for me when I need it.

That is an incorrect picture, as it turns out! There's an entirely separate box of colors that comes with the set, none of which are included. Colors can be represented by 6) different images.
The product was ideal for home made cake frosting and frosting made from scratch. I am a beginner cake decorator and wanted something affordable. As a result of some reviews, I was scared I would end up with repeating colors, but I decided to buy this product after careful consideration. There were no issues at all and the cakes even dyed Only one thing I wouldn't like about this picture is how little pigmentation there is in the red. In order to make it red in the photo, I had to add a lot of gel dye, and by that point you could actually taste the color. The rest of it is wonderful!.
They came out with the Wilton Color Perfect kit for a reason, so maybe it has something to do with the fact that the classic pots stink. For each color, it took a solid 30 minutes to get the color I was after with these pots. It's not really that expensive to buy the Color Perfect system over the cans. The pots didn't taste bad, but neither did the Color Perfect. You just have to use three times as much to get vivid colors with the cans, at least when it comes to buttercream frosting. Perhaps they are meant to be icings? It may or may not work, just don't expect your buttercream to turn yellow like that.
There was something really exciting about this set for me. The only issue I have with it so far is that the red is very dark, which I knew would be the case based on all the other reviews. I make all of my toddler's sensory and play stuff so I needed a large variety of gel colors at a low cost. Red for Christmas must be deeper, otherwise you might not adjust your expectations. after using almost half the container for only one cup of pasta, there still was some left on the container The only color that I got was this bright pink. Green, yellow, blue, and blue-green are the other colors that I've used that have been great. I've dipped a toothpick through a few of the blue and green portions of the frosting, but they're still a little light.
Where did the meh rating come from? When I tried to open the foil lid on these suckers, I found there was nothing to grab onto. I had to use a sharp knife point to push it all the way around the edge to remove the foil. You know what I found out? This results in food dye all over your fingers, and it is hard to clean up. It's obvious that the person who designed this packaging doesn't use it himself or herself, because the product works great otherwise.
It took me 8 weeks to receive my grade Just a couple of days ago, I picked up a pack of color gels from Wilton. In spite of the fact that I was not going to use them right now, I decided to open the package anyway. It was in perfect condition in the box it came in. The tops of all the jars were unscrewed and I did not see any open or damaged seals. There was a slight amount of slack in the lids, but when they came off they were perfectly sealed, so I realized if they were extremely tightened the pressure might have cracked the jars (this is science we are talking about). In any case, I didn't want to break the seals since I wasn't going to use them yet. In the event that there is something wrong with the review when I open it, Currently, they are all perfect. (I do plan to open them before my return window closes.
To make this cake and the rainbow on it, I used the food coloring. I like the way they turned out.
Wilton's products are always top-notch, so I'm confident that I'm getting a good product. It takes a very small amount to create these vibrant colors! A friend of mine was coming over to make cupcakes at a birthday party for my child. I purchased this for the party. Our team made six different colors of icing with various tips that were all perfect. The brown makes a beautiful tan as the base for the other colors, but if making a landscape a little more would make a perfect dark brown for a tree trunk. Various shades of a color can be created by mixing two colors, such as violet and pink created by mixing two shades of purple. When it comes to adding color to icing, toothpicks have proven to be the most effective method. As a result, it is much easier to get the right amount of coloring and it is always easy to add more if needed, but unfortunately you can't take it all out if you add too.
