Questions & Answers
You're not sure why you're asking this question, are you? Unless you have a Dollar Tree right across the street or in your backyard, I believe the few extra cents on the dollar would more than compensate for the convenience of home delivery. Unless, of course, you require it immediately. Then perhaps a trip to the dollar store is in order?
Kristen, how are you? Yes, it does have Red 40 in it.
No, it has no effect on the taste.
It mixes well with water and a strong base, so I believe it will work with a weak acid as well. There should be no discoloration:

When my water bill is unusually high, I use these colors in the toilet tanks to look for leaks. Put a few drops of a color in the tank and leave it for a day without using or flushing. You have a leak if the water in the bowl turns brown the next day. There should be no problems if the water in the bowl is clear. In one toilet, I was able to detect a slow leak that necessitated the replacement of a flapper. The product will last for years and will save you a significant amount of money. A visit from my plumber costs me $125.
They're all gels, which I don't like. These are what I use to color food photographs. I like how focused you are. A few drops can make a big difference. I used the blue food coloring to make a "blue martini" shot. Great product that I'm sure I'll be reordering soon because I use so much of it.
I don't want to use 'gel' food coloring. It's great to see that this old traditional style is still available!.
It accomplishes its goal. I also used it to make "stained-glass" decorations for my home. In small vessels of clear Elmer's glue, mix a drop to a few drops of "glass" paint for children's crafts, then stir. Beautiful colors were created.
(A typo in the title has been corrected, and the last paragraph has been clarified. ) ) The color is vibrant and well-balanced. I don't need yellow, and the red was strong enough to darken my yellow food color marker as well as the yellow in this box. br>br>It arrived on time and in good condition, though one of the colors had leaked slightly at the cap. I didn't have any reservations about using it because it was completely heat sealed in plastic and the leakage was mostly dry. I don't think the cap was tampered with; it just got a little loose during the processing. br>br>I wanted to use these to refill food coloring markers from another brand, and the dropper was small enough that I didn't have to use an eye dropper. br>br>I alternate between taking generic acetaminophen with aspirin and straight generic acetaminophen. Because they all look the same once they're out of the bottle, I use a dab of food coloring to distinguish the straight acetaminophen ones. br>br>The color came out darker than expected because I had overfilled one of the markers. I had to wait for it to dry before I could see how pigmented and strong the color was.
Liquid food coloring is difficult to come by in stores, so I used the red to make colored water in a clear vase. The blue was used to enhance the beauty of water in a fountain.
Not only that, but because they're bigger and cost a little more, they'll last longer. br>br>Yes, the larger size's money output is around $1. 00 or so more than in stores, but because these are larger bottles that will last longer, it will end up being cheaper in the long run. br>br>Because the dyes are food-grade, there are no additives to worry about. br>br>This product has the same colors as the national brand. br>br>I suggest you give it a try the next time you need a food dye.
This is a fantastic product, but it is no longer available in stores.
