To celebrate my husband's 50th birthday, I used this product to make Black Velvet Cupcakes with Black Velvet Frosting. I loved how black it was! The food coloring in so many varieties of food turns everything Is it true? Black as black can be! When you eat something colored with it (or color chocolate frosting), it won't turn your teeth black. So I bought it because it doesn't turn your teeth black when you eat something colored with it. It is true that eating one black cupcake with black frosting will make you lose weight. We found out that it took a lot of cupcakes to bleach your teeth white. Did you eat Yes, I agree. A bit of dye stuck in the corners of their teeth, making them look like they were from the 1960s. Ack. (Sorry. The people who ate them did not feel sick or anything. Royal icing is a great use for this

This was a great product for making royal icing but it took a lot of product to get it a true black color. As with any black coloring, the color turns out to be black in the mouth (This is a happy Halloween, but there is no aftertaste.

There is no other word to describe it. When I used normal soda to make prop colas, they exploded all over the place. This stuff is good. The tiniest drop of it turns 8 ounces of water black in less than three minutes. If it dyes more water, I'm sure it would do so much more, but I haven't tested it The color is black and there's no brownish tint like in traditional cola, but then again, it's black dye, so it shouldn't have that effect. If you hold it up to the light, you can't tell the difference between the cola color and the chocolate color. I realize this is a pretty niche review, but there is some good value here.

It is PURPLE when black is used

I was going to use buttercream icing and I had to use black or at the very least, grey. There was no mistaking this for anything but The cupcakes turned out bad. Additionally, EVERYTHING in contact with it gets stained. In addition to that, it is hard to remove the seal and you will end up with colors all over. If there was no stars for this, I would give it a 0.

In the end, I had to use up the entire bottle to color the It tasted weird when you added so much, and it sort of changed the texture of the whipped cream. How gritchy? It was an unexpected development. If all you're looking for is a miracle black, this isn't it. I'm sure it's fine for coloring dark chocolate, but if you're looking for a complete black, this isn't it either.

Icing is BLACK when it is made

Black was the color I needed to make the batman cake, and I had very little faith that it would actually work. To my great surprise it was pretty darn black by the time I used it the next day! At first it looked grey (which I could have changed to work), but when I used it the next day it appeared pretty You can let it sit in the fridge overnight to make it.

The reviews are so good, how is that possible? There is no way I can figure out how this product came Wilton black is my usual dye, though I decided to try this one out because it seemed a bit simpler

Despite using the entire bottle on one cake (as in a whole box of cake) and one tub of frosting, the cakes and frostings were not As a result, they are dyed dark purple rather than blue. Would I have it any different if I were to start with a vanilla base instead of a chocolate Put it out of your mind! I am going back to my Wilton since it lasts FOREVER and gets the black color so fast.
