How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

Since Sanniti lemons are preserved, they have a longer shelf life, meaning you can store them in your pantry for future use. Preserved lemons from Sanniti don't brown when stored, so you won't have to worry about fresh fruit browning.
The following ingredients are used Lemons (Beldi), water, salt, citric acid, and Sulfite content (contains sulfite)
It is possible to use both the flesh and rind of the preserved lemons in cooking, baking, dressing, and sauce.
Moroccan tagine, a stew made with meat or vegetables, is made with either or both meat and vegetables. A lamb tagine or a chicken tagine is a common dish. Citrus juice and lemon zest are often used in these hearty, savory stews because they add a tang to the dish and brighten it up.
You should rinse the bottle before using it.
Measures 13 inches by 13 inches. Jar with 4 oz of syrup

Questions & Answers

Is there any recommendation as to how they can be used?

Ripen the fruit, removing the flesh and cutting into small pieces the rind. For a spicy, Moroccan flavor, add to a sauce for baked lamb or chicken.

After opening the jar, how long do they last?

For the past 3 months, it has been sitting in its original liquid on the shelf of a dark pantry. A slight deterioration did not occur.

I slice the olives and place them back in the jar and in the fridge, but how long do they last?

The answer is not clear. The rest of mine were put in the refrigerator and I just checked and they are still yellow and look alright. I made a tagine lemon chicken dish with them in five or six months ago and only used about half. They are not, but I am not going to state that Couldn't really be of much help other than the fact that I'm not a "Sell By" throw it away person and would rather go by texture, odor or taste if I were to use Thank you for your interest, but I'm sorry I cannot help further.

What is the spice content of the sauce?

There is no substitute for lemons

Shipping company that neglects its responsibilities
3/5

It was okay in flavor, but the lemons were moldy and half of the jar was empty. Due to the fact that I received them the day after ordering them, that was the only way they could have been delivered to me.

I like these preserved lemons so much that it's worth the price
5/5

Moroccan dishes such as tagines, cous cous, and tajine are much more flavorful with these spices. It is easy to slice them and add them to a dish because of their size and firmness.

This new product (for me) is great
5/5

This product is quite pricey, but I like the quality of the lemons, and they added flavor to my pasta. I had never tried these before, but a small amount was needed for a new recipe. The preserved lemons will be used in more recipes in the future!.

You did a good job
4/5

My pantry still contains the bottle, so normally I wouldn't write this review yet. My intention, however, is to share that I purchased it in case this whole quarantine thing goes on a bit longer than we all wish, and the supply of food staples continues to be scarce, since this product looks like a good way to add Vitamin C to whatever foods In other words, I think it will go with rice, sandwiches, stew, or ice cream, assuming we have any of these other foods.

In shipping, there was a leak
3/5

Packaging is not up to standard. The product cannot be returned I would not recommend buying this. A leak was discovered in a shipping container due to a lid on tight with good plastic seal. Mold was growing on the top half of the lemon. There was an obvious defect in the factory seal. The package should not have been sent. The item cannot be returned - I would not recommend buying this.

After delivery, the packaging is dripping with water
3/5

When they arrived, the preserved lemons were already open, with liquid dripping from the outer packaging. the item cannot be refunded, which is a complete waste of money considering it was never going to be useful. When the product is replaced as stated, I will be happy to change this product review. The item/seller are NOT recommended for purchase if you are not comfortable with it.
