The HOME BUTTON isn't working! I spent an hour putting this unit together only to discover that the button does not work or click. There was no response. When I write to inform them of this, they respond that there is no warranty. I now have an iPad with a broken screen and no functioning Home button. I was told that I could buy another unit for half the price to replace mine, and that it was my responsibility to test it. They also stated that if you install it and it does not work, as well as if anything is installed, there will be no refunds. The screen also comes with a piece of tape that isn't strong enough to keep it attached to the iPad. In addition, there are no instructions for putting the unit together. There are no tools included in the package. There's a card on the table that says to contact them if you're unhappy, which I did, and they did nothing to help me and basically told me I was on my own. I had to enlist Amazon's help and file an az claim. Consider whether you'd rather pay a few dollars more for another brand/merchant and get this unit without tools, instructions, warranty, or customer service. I had gaps all around the top and sides of my iPad because the tape was not strong or thick enough, despite the fact that it says OEM adhesive. I doubt OEM adhesive is cut haphazardly and has no real thickness. The adhesive is not 3M or a brand name, but rather a generic brand. 1mm thick, unevenly cut, and even pasted together on spots around the ipad's perimeter. There is no real standard. br>br>Read the other ONE star reviews to see that it isn't just me who has issues with the HOME button. Don't fall for the ruse.

For the first three months, it worked perfectly, but then it became noticeably less responsive, to the point where it no longer responds at all. But it's more likely that it's developed the habit of doing things on its own! For instance, and this is a very common occurrence; I'll put it down and return to it hours later, only to find that my iPad has been "disabled for xxx minutes. " I was concerned that my children might be tampering with it, so I kept an eye on it and waited to see if they were, and sure enough, they were! Set it down, wait a few moments, and the screen will turn on, with the unlock screen buttons being pressed at random until the iPad is disabled. br>br>I tried contacting the seller to have it exchanged under warranty, but I haven't received a response, so I'm writing this review. I'll update this review if I'm contacted and the situation is resolved.

Fortunately, I'm handy, have replaced a few screens before, and was wise enough to take breaks when I became frustrated. br>br>Amazon has asked me to rate "sheerness" yet again. This thing, on the other hand, is quite sheer. It's obvious that it's a ruse. To summarize, my wife is relieved that her iPad's screen is no longer covered in cracks. br>br>I have no complaints; everything works as it should.

Our iPad was for our children, and I would have paid the extra money to have it installed if it hadn't been an old iPad mini 2. It's not so much that it's difficult to install as it is that you'll be dealing with a lot of glass, and scratching the LCD underneath can be very easy. On YouTube, it was relatively easy to find videos on how to change this. Our screen was badly cracked, resulting in a strew of small glass fragments all over the place. Glass seemed to get everywhere, even when I was being extra cautious. Not being able to touch the LCD is also a pain. The video was correct: once you touch it, it will never look the same again, no matter how well you clean it. Pro tip: It's easy to set the LCD slightly crooked with the new adhesive, so it's not a big deal to me, but it would save you from having to open it up again. It's for my kids, so it's not a big deal to me, but it'd save you from having to open it up again.

I couldn't wait to wear it. I'm no novice when it comes to phone disassembly; I've been doing it since Nokia's early days, and I've had to throw a few bricks to open those Nokia phones back in the day. I received this package and attempted to install it, but the adhesion was so poor that it began to fall apart as soon as I did so. I wrapped tape around it to keep it in place in the hopes that it would catch on, but it never did. I was disappointed, but the presentation is good; it's just the adhesive that's not up to par.

The display is a piece of junk. The screen is 100% not flat, the home button doesn’t mechanically work like oem, and the gasket doesn’t stick well. The lcd was eventually damaged as a result of the aforementioned issues. This is complete nonsense.

It's fantastic! This was my third attempt at a screen - This is the seller's first purchase. The other two that I bought were faulty - I was overjoyed to find a vendor with a quality product that is relatively simple to replace - The only tricky part is getting rid of the old one - It took me less than an hour to complete the swap in total. Pro tip (from the not-so-smart): pro) - If you don't use a quality adhesive remover and clean the area with isopropyl alcohol, the new screen will not stick to your iPad.
