This isn't a difficult task
3/5

Battery replacement for touch screens and tablets is simple. This was my third battery, and my first experience with a touch screen. To begin, take your tablet and locate your micro memory card; gently push the card into the tablet until it pops out; then remove the card from the tablet. Next, take a small flat edge screwdriver and insert the blade about 1/8 of an inch into the memory card slot, twist the screwdriver clockwise until the edges separate the top from the bottom, then repeat the insert and twist process around the table. Continue until the top and bottom are completely separated. This will allow you to access the battery compartment. Electrical connections are made in two ways. One is for the battery, and the other is for the display. If the battery is dead, use the screwdrive blade to lift up the connector. Pull the battery's back paper out by lifting it up. Then, by pushing the connector together, replace the battery. Now you can test the tablet by pressing the on/off button to see if it turns on. Allow it to run until the home screen appears if it does. Then go through the process of shutting down. Always keep in mind that the back is still unconnected. Finally, using your thumb and forefinger, carefully align the top and bottom pieces and snap them together. Working your way around the tablet on the edges, not the touchscreen, until you get back to where you started. br>br>To repair a cracked touch screen, undo the upper connection above the battery connector. Protect yourself from broken glass by placing clear shipping tape on top of the damaged screen. Locate a hair dryer after that. Heat the edges of the paper until the adhesive begins to soften. Remove the glass from the tablet's upper portion by gently prying it off. If necessary, re-heat the edges. Remove the glass once you've worked your way around it and discard it carefully. br>Then, using that small screwdriver, scrape away all of the ground glass chips, dirt, and adhesives you can find. br>I used an exact knife and scotch tape. br>br>When everything is clean, apply your adhesive to the cleaned area. 30 2MMS wide 3 inch long double-sided tape strips were included in my kit. I used the tape to cover all of the flat areas that would come into contact with the new touch screen's back edges. The electrical connector was then threaded onto the tablet's battery side at the top. I tested the tablet before proceeding to seat the touch screen to ensure that it was still functional. Then I took a microfiber eyeglass cloth and gently pressed the touch screen into place after aligning it. I'm using my forefinger to push the cloth along the edges. Finally, I pinched the top and bottom together in the same way that I did when changing the batteries. The final step is to place the tablet on its back, cover it with a clean cloth, and then place a book or something else heavy on top of it to push the screen onto the adhesive. br>br>Replacement kits are readily available on Amazon. com, but it's nearly impossible to find the instructions. Everything I read about the kits said they were only for professionals. I spent more time writing these notes than figuring out and completing the process. br>br>Instructions should be provided by the vendors!.

It's a Cheap Fix that Works Great! This looks like a screen replacement from the manufacturer
4/5

It includes more tools than are required for the job, but they are flimsy. Even though the plastic tool for removing the old screen broke, I was still able to use it. Others have complained about the lack of adhesive, but mine came with it already applied to the screen. I'm not sure why the protective plastic on the underside wasn't removed, but the screen does have adhesive on it. There are no instructions, but YouTube has DIY videos. To remove the old screen, I used a hair dryer, which worked but took a long time. Overall, from start to finish, it took me about 45 minutes. It is critical to take your time and not rush! To ensure a dust-free installation, invest in a good no-lint cleaning cloth handle. The one provided is a shambles, but it's better than nothing. My Tab A has been restored to its former glory and now functions as it should.

Fits perfectly, there are no calibration issues, and the sticky tapes stay in place
5/5

I read a lot of reviews about this screen that said things like "it broke after a few days or weeks" or "screen didn't fit or glue down" or "there screen no longer works right saying when they click it clicks somewhere else," so I thought I'd share my experience. You're completely incorrect. ) simply because mine is flawless and you guys must have installed it incorrectly. I've only ever replaced an iPhone screen because mine fit perfectly, stayed in place, and looks crystal clear. This is the second time I've had to replace the screen on my computer. It worked great, and I'd buy it again if my screen was broken again. It came with all of the tools I needed, as well as a screen saver on both the back and front. The back has sticky glue tape, so as long as you remove the old tape, the new one will stick.

It does a fantastic job of repairing my severely cracked screen
5/5

My severely fractured screen was repaired with this product. From a height of over 3 feet, my Galaxy Tab A 8 landed face down on concrete. The old screen must be removed, which takes some time. A word of warning, however: It's a good idea to cover your cracked screen with packing tape if it's really bad. Many small fragments and shards of old glass will fly around when you pry it off. It's also a good idea to put on your safety glasses. The most difficult part is removing the old screen (starting it) and heating the edges. Removing the thin screen cable from its connection should be done with caution. It's just a simple on/off switch. Before applying pressure to seat it, make sure it's perfectly aligned. New double-sided tape was included in my package. The included tools aren't great, but they did the job well enough. Before you mount the new screen, make sure you clean off all of the small glass shards. The replacement hasn't caused any issues so far. It took me around 30 minutes to complete the task.
