MMOBIEL Digitizer Compatible with iPad Air (Black) 9.7 Inch Touchscreen Front Display Assembly Incl Tool kit

As part of a battery replacement for my iPad, I bought this to have on hand. There are a number of videos on the web that explain how to repair things. To remove the digitizer from the device, this kit came with a very useful thin metal tool. My hair dryer was not working well so I heated some damp washcloths in the microwave and placed them in the corners of the iPad to loosen the adhesive. Since I didn't have a heat gun, I placed the damp washcloths along the edges. After removing the original digitizer intact, the adhesive was in such bad shape that it was so easy to just replace it with the new one and use the adhesive strips included with the new one. With the new one, you can explore with gestures and touches just as you did with the original one. I have an iPad that is protected by one of those covers that has a magnetic lid and after the repair it stopped going into sleep mode when covered and no longer made a locking click sound. In the past few weeks, it seems to go into sleep mode when the cover is closed, but still does not sound like a click. It occurs from time to time when the lid is folded behind the iPad that it will cause the switch to activate the sleep mode, resulting in the iPad sleeping while in use. My understanding is that this could be a defective digitizer, a damaged cover, or something that happened during the repair on the computer.

Overall the kit was a good value, but because I have not used it at all, I have a giant scratch on the face of the screen, and I am not sure how it got there as I only installed it and then set books on top of it to strengthen adherence. The screen is so sticky that if it weren't so hard to remove I would just replace it again ha, but I just bought a screen protector to hopefully prevent that from happening again. Although it's not a major problem, when I go from having a severely cracked screen and repairing it only to later have a deep scratch on it, it kind of spoils the excitement of a job well done. You should make sure that you have a screen protector before you start the installation, so that you can avoid any possible damage to the screen. The screen has just been delivered to me, so I am not yet familiar with all the features. There may be an update later, as the screens in some of these can yellow or have a yellow tint.

Adhesive still doesn't seem to have adhered. For $20 bucks, compared to the $100 these ifixit places want to charge, this is a pretty decent deal. I will update this review after they finish their adhesive job but, so far, I have been It is possible that I'll have to find a more suitable The difference between the two will still be around 80 dollars. The repair of my cracked screen is my second time. It was done by Ifixit first, and it was damaged! In the process of doing my own repair, I found out that several screws were damaged and missing from them! I had ifixit repair it on once, and now I'm looking at my own repairs. Make it yourself! It took me less than 20 minutes with a 10-foot ladder Despite not possessing a heat gun, I was able to learn everything I needed to know by watching a video on YouTube in just minutes! Iron with care! I used an iron on my shirt, but be careful! Only warm up the EDGES BY PUTTING A TOWEL INSIDE THE IRON AND DECKING THE SCREENS.

I bought one first time. It worked for a little while, then the screen fell It was impossible to hold them together because the tape that came with it wasn't strong enough. In other words, when the screen fell off, the connector broke off and it fell apart. Then we thought we may not have installed it correctly. The 1st time we bought the product, we didn't feel all that comfortable. But we gave it another shot and bought the product again. What a mistake that was. To ensure safety, we watched and rewatched YouTube videos and made sure the program was installed properly. There's no need to blame us for the error. You might have to reattach the screen if it is loose. To hold the two together for now, I used a thick rubber band. Further, the earphone won't fit all the way into the iPad Air and the buttons on the iPad Air are all loose and appear as though they may fall There is nothing I can do to help. The thought of doing anything with it makes me scared. Could you please give me some suggestions?.

It has good pry tools, but a limited selection of screwdrivers. It's lovely. I've fixed dozens of iPads over the years (a few tips and tricks are in my other reviews), and I love its design. There are no surprises since everything is pre-assembled The right adhesive strips are present and attached at the proper place. It is very helpful to have a metal pry tool, but most screwdrivers are a bit fragile and can be easily damaged. For just one repair they work just fine, but if you're going to do more than one you ought to take the time to purchase a decent The iPad screen easily fits into the iPad just as it did from the factory, as opposed to most, which add up to 1/2mm above the rest of the device. A great product that comes highly recommended by.
