To begin with, I've done a lot of these, so this isn't the first or last time I've done one. With no coating on the glass, the screen feels as cheap as any other $15 one on here. It was even defective when it arrived, with parts that would not read. Oh, and you'll have to rig it if you want to swap the home button, because even that was a joke. There isn't much to say except that their box is attractive. br>br>After speaking with customer service, I believe this company is a scam, selling 2$ glass knowing that people will not be able to return it because the lcd will be exposed.

I have large, clumsy fingers, but I was able to complete this task. The screen is in excellent condition. I have a small area on the edge where I couldn't get the wires completely tucked in, but it's unnoticeable with the case on. br>br>A fantastic purchase for keeping an older iPad running. br>br>Pro tip: keep your hands clean and use latex gloves. It's impossible to be perfect, but you'll be able to outperform me. I figured it wouldn't work, so I didn't spend much time making sure the environment was dust and fingerprint free.

I replaced the screen the first time, and everything was fine until the adhesive tape failed and the corner of the screen began to pop up. The corner of the screen cracked after a few attempts at sticking it back down: So, back to the drawing board: the company kindly sent me a replacement screen as well as some extra tough tape, so I replaced it again. This was fine until I discovered a non-functional 1/2" line across the screen. it is useful It was extremely difficult for me to use a drawing app that I use on a regular basis. When I contacted the company again, they refused to send me a new screen but said I could return the old one. The only issue was that the previous one was still on the iPad. So I ordered a new one and installed it, only to discover that the home button was no longer functional. So I removed the cracked/defective screen's home button, paired it with the new screen, and got it all working again. Except. When using a stylus, there are some areas of the screen that lose sensitivity: For the most part, this isn't a problem, but it is a failure in the drawing app. And as the screen began to come loose, I was forced to super-glue it. The screen cracked shortly after it was glued down. TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR: TLDR This company has nice people who want to help, but the product is both fragile and defective, and I'm back where I started with a cracked screen after 6 hours and three screen replacements. Ugh. I'm getting pretty good at removing and replacing an iPad screen, on the other hand.

Because the old screen had shattered, it was difficult to remove, so I did it in chunks. You'll need a vacuum afterward, so make sure you have a large surface area to work on. If you attempt to wipe the LCD screen while it is covered in glass, it will scratch. Because I was unable to salvage the built-in button, I resorted to using the on-screen button. The tools, on the other hand, were excellent, and the display was flawless. I got my iPad back for a great price, but it took some time. It also helps to have a magnifying device because, at least for me, the glass bits, screws, and connectors are small.

Because the adhesive is strong and the screen actually sits down in the frame, removing the old screen is extremely difficult. I warmed the adhesive with a hair dryer, but it took a long time, and the connector for the home button must be handled with care. I broke it off the main board, and now the home button is toast. It was a learning experience for me, and I hope you take note of this warning. On the plus side, the iPad is still functional and the cover isn't falling off!.

All of the necessary components are included. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHEN USING AN LCD. I ruined mine by removing a faulty screw. br>The advantage of steady hands. br>Last updated on 12/23/2019. On a half-touch screen, I lost control. After 60 days, the product is found to be defective. It could have been a fluke, but I had to purchase a replacement.

I should've just given up and returned it. My wife had been missing her iPad terribly. After she dropped her screen for the third time, I had to replace it. The center area wouldn't work when I installed this one. I dismantled it and looked inside. On the connector, a small tear could be seen. It's possible I did it during installation, but this is the third time I've done it, and I've done it twice before. I've asked for a refund, and I'll be returning it. We'll have to wait and see how things turn out. I've had no problems with the other items I've purchased from the same seller, so I'm hoping they'll address this. There will be more after that.
