Fixcracked Touch Screen Replacement Parts Digitizer Glass Assembly for ipad 3 + Professional Tool Kit (white)

When it arrived, I was astounded to see how much stuff you got for your money. It includes the digitizer/glass, bezel, button/bracket, and a wifi/BT antenna, which is said to be frequently damaged when the old glass is removed. I'm not sure how they make money at this price!br>br>I didn't use the wifi antenna, but I did use everything else in the kit. If you've never done this type of repair before, it's a good idea to start here. Prepare to spend an hour or more cleaning all of the adhesive out of every crack and crevice; if you don't do a good job prepping, the adhesive will almost certainly fail early on, and you won't be able to get everything back together tightly. Painting a car is an old adage that comes to mind. 90% preparation, application This is also true in this case! br>br>The glass/digitizer was in perfect condition and worked flawlessly. Only minor repositioning was required because the bezel was nearly perfect. Within 24 hours of installation, one of the corners of the bezel broke off, but this could have been due to the pressure of the books that were placed on top of it to get the adhesive to seal. I don't think it's affecting the glass, but we'll have to wait and see. br>br>Overall, for the money, I'd give this a solid 5 stars. We'll see how it holds up, as there's been a lot of talk about 3rd-party glass cracking more easily. However, at this price, I honestly don't think it matters. You'd have to go through three of these for less than a third of the price of OEM glass, and OEM glass doesn't include anything other than the glass/digitizer. br>br>Valuable information. I didn't get a picture right away after replacing the glass. Although there was sound, there was no picture. I discovered that I needed to perform a hard reset, which essentially resets both the software and the hardware. It was back up and running without any issues after that. If this occurs, press and hold the home and power buttons for ten seconds each. It will take 15 seconds for the screen to turn on.

My iPad 3's frame and glass were recently broken. I did some research on how to fix it myself and found this kit. First and foremost, this is a fairly technical repair that necessitates some patience and skill. Breaking glass around the iPad frame, delicately removing fine screws, detaching and reattaching printed cables, peeling and applying a screen protector (watch for dust), and possibly troubleshooting any new problems you create from cracking open your iPad were all part of the process. br>br>There are a few helpful videos showing the process that you can watch, and I strongly advise you to do so. This kit includes almost everything you'll need to replace the broken glass. Because it does not include anything to remove the gummy residue from the broken glass, I docked this product one star. To ensure that the new glass adheres to the iPad, you must thoroughly clean the frame of any adhesive. To remove any remaining gunk, I used Goo Be Gone followed by lens wipes. In addition, the instructions for this kit are written in a size 6 font and are impossible to read due to their tight spacing. br>br>However, the magnetic screw driver was extremely useful (iPad screws are as small as eyeglass screws), and the rest of the tools were all useful during the repair process. br>br>My advice is to do some research and take your time; there are a lot of places where rushing or being careless will ruin your iPad. So it's not for the faint of heart or those who have trouble controlling their television. After completing this repair, you'll understand why repair shops charge so much to fix that IPad.

Pros: This one comes with the black plastic 'border' that goes around the outside of the box. between the metal shell of the iPad's bottom and the new screen's glass I ordered two (one from a different seller), and this one came with it while the other didn't. The adhesive on the black 'border' must be peeled off. simple to use Furthermore, the screen had a protective covering on BOTH SIDES that peels off to protect it until the very last moment before you attach it. re- Put the iPad together. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. If you've never attempted to repair an iPad before, I wish the screen printed cable that connects to the iPad's internal circuit board had a sticker on it to 'pull' it into the circuit board's ports. Another disadvantage. br> The lack of trust in lower-rated reviews is unusual. I get it. Other sellers have sent me iPhone/iPad/iPod parts that didn't work right away. It's a risky proposition. However, it is very likely that someone will make a fatal error when performing this type of repair. Along with experience, you'll need the right tools. The learning curve is steep if you've never repaired an iPad screen before. In the worst-case scenario, you could short the LCD backlight diode, rendering the iPad completely useless unless you're willing to send it to a microscopic engineer who will solder a replacement diode. It isn't inexpensive either. However, if you've done this repair before, go ahead and do it again. br>br>Manufacturing suggestions: This repair can be done by anyone with the necessary tools. Don't bother with the tools. Would I buy it again or give it as a gift?br>br>Include a way to 'pull' the flexible printed cable into the circuit board's port. br>br>Would I buy it again or give it as a gift? If I ever needed to repair an iPad, I would buy it again. In the past, I've worked on iPads for friends. NO MORE. I'm not sure about the new iPads, but the older ones are a real pain to use. GLASS, GLASS, GLASS, GLASS, GLASS, GLASS I'm not referring to chunks here. I'm talking about shivers on a microscopic scale. You won't notice the splinters because they are so small. and there are hundreds because these iPad screens don't come off easily. br>br>Did I receive anything in exchange for this review? NO!
