This kit was ideal for replacing the touch screen on my iPad mini 2. It comes with a variety of useful tools, including a mini Phillips head screwdriver, plastic guitar picks to prop up the touch screen, and a few other tools that make it simple to complete all of your tasks. There are a few more things you should pick up: 7000 glue, which will be used to reattach the glass screen, as well as some eye protection - When replacing shattered glass, small shards of glass can fly all over the place, including into your eyes! I used a blow dryer to heat the edges as well, but that blows the glass shards all over the place, so I'd recommend using a heat gun instead. But I got by without the gun and fixed two iPads in a couple of hours; it was fairly simple, but patience was required, as well as caution to avoid scratching the LCD screen beneath the touch screen glass. Use a plastic putty knife instead of a metal putty knife, as shown in some videos. The LCD will almost certainly be scratched. Simply use the plastic tools included in this kit.
Because all of the other items, such as the plastic wedge and the screw driver, were missing from the box, I messed up one of the screws; this is false advertising; do not believe the photos.
If you want to get your iPad back to its original state, this is not a good idea.
1. The digitizer had scratches on it, which I only noticed after removing the plastic cover.
2. You won't be able to use this digitizer because it lacks a sleep wake sensor.
3. The home button is slightly inside, making each press more difficult. br>br>Please take my honest opinion into account; the adhesive is good, and I am unable to return the product.
Because the adhesion isn't quite where it should be, the screen pops open. It pops open in a matter of minutes. I used a rubber band to hold the screen in place for a few days, hoping that the adhesion would hold up better. After that, it's the same thing; it simply opens up. This is not something I would recommend.
When I was looking for a replacement for my iPad Mini 2 touchscreen, I came across this product, and I'm glad I did because not only did I get the correct product and it arrived quickly, but it also came with the tools I needed to install it. Of course, there are many things to keep in mind when installing a touchscreen, but the product itself is fantastic! It was set up on the 7th of September. 20 and it has been performing as expected with no known issues. All of this for less than $20 br>br>Today's Date 7- 20br>(I'll update this if I learn something new).
Ipad touchscreen repair kit is a good choice. I would like to be able to use my old iPad once more.
Not having to replace a tablet that the grandson had wedged between his bed and the wall saved me a lot of money.
Installed fine, but when held in portrait mode, there is a dead spot about the size of a quarter over the keyboard.
