If they are filled 3/4 full, they can hold approximately 50 pounds of sand. Filling them 3/4 full is ideal. It is easy to handle & convenient Tie off could not be easier.

Approximately 27 cubic feet of sand can be found in a cubic yard. For each bag of sand, it is recommended that you put 50 pounds. In other words, one cubic foot of dry sand is equal to 54 bags, which means one cubic yard of dry sand will fill 54 bags. Keeping 2 yards of our pack of 100 sandbags on hand (14 " x 26") will enable you to fill the bags quickly.

I like the ties because they are convenient and very strong

Sandbags that are excellent for general use. An earthbag building of about 900 was constructed from approximately 900. Approximately 8 feet wide by 24 feet long by 8 feet high, the building measured 8 feet by 24 feet by 8 feet. There was only one manufacturing defect among the 900 bags, a missing stitch at the bottom of one. all there is to There was not a single one that had a torn tie at the top. For the first two weeks we left them in the sun as we prepped the area and there was no discernible UV exposure can last up to 1600 hours with these. I don't see how they will have trouble meeting their 1600 hour rating, even though ours had only been exposed to about 150ish hours. You shouldn't expect them to last a year in the sun + weather + animals + things falling on them or scraping them + moving roughly over and over again. There is no way it will In the tamping procedure, we drove rebar through the bags and only damaged two of them—one when we missed the rebar and one when we hit the bag full. Five forces with a 5-force The weight of a sledgehammer is five pounds. It is interesting to know that these tamped bags were This book is highly.

These bags are great for the price It is riddled with Knowing why you buy is key! There is no need to buy expensive actual heavy-duty bags when you can get these ones for a fraction of the price If they are UV resistant bags, then you do not have grounds for claiming they are not There seem to be a few buyers who had their bags shorted, but since the seller offered refunds, I figured I would try them out

To fill in the gaps, I needed them Tarps and row covers may be held down with weights during the season. Getting 100 bags for just $36 was a great deal. It is tough to work with them. There was only one problem I noticed in the 100 I've seen so far. I have no concerns about any of the rest. It is the ties that are the weakest point of the zip, but they are still sufficient to keep the bag close for the entire 66 hours, as the bag should last. AS ADVERTISED, IT IS 67 DAYS. Having quick, cheap access to them is a great idea You should hit the You can make do with them on a tight budget or in a hurry. However, they may not be bulletproof (and they do not advertise themselves as such). It was an idiotic choice for you to lose your house because these didn't hold up against the ocean as permanent dams There is no reason to give these bags a bad review for that reason. Everyone who would pinch pennies, then complain that budget products could not stand up to the forces of nature was due for a reality check. You really don't want to be a skinflint if you're trying to craft a levee to save your homestead from flooding. Don't plan on spending more than one or two years on something. A sand bag shouldn't be used if you need it to be longer than 20 feet. Use these tools as appropriately as you can in knowing what they are capable of. The materials are supposed to degrade after 1600 hours of exposure to UV light, and they seem to follow If they do what they say they will, it's hard to fault them.

The process of filling is very fast
5/5

In place of sand, these were used to place gravel. They were cut off from a traffic cone and stuck The process of filling is very fast. Weight of bags ranged between 70 and 100 grams It was filled with gravel and it didn't break even when 100 pounds was placed on it. We had teenage boys throw them, but no damage occurred. I used them to fill in the backside of a retaining wall down a steep hill, so the only other way to get the gravel there was to carry it down by hand. We ended up using a kids slide and launching these gravel-filled tubes There are 5 feet of air above it filled with filled bags. This was so much fun, I had to do it There has been no damage. Since we are burying them, I cannot tell what the effects of corrosion will be, but it is our second set, so it was well worth the investment.

I found these to be effective

Here's an update. One drop of water never made it into any part of the building. The thought of using these has amazed me pretty much.

I am very grateful to Hurricane Isaias for encouraging me to get these. My garage is surrounded by 20 tarps, so there is no water leaking in from corners or under my This is much better than placing a few towels on the floor. My sister bought me 16 bags of Sakrete playground sand totaling 800lbs (i. e. 16 50lb bags). As far as the sand bags are concerned, I filled them about 2/3 full (35-45 lbs) There are 40 pounds of sand in the bag. The play sand I had left over remained in that bag after I finished. As I filled the empty bags, I held them up with a pickle bucket while I put the fillings in. With a bucket cut with the bottom cut out for a funnel, I was able to fill all 20 bags of sand within an hour without a We make fast work of this by handling it with two hands simultaneously. The filled bags aren't terribly heavy to handle and move. After filling them up, I placed them in two huge plastic bins until I was ready to dispose of them. As the ties are pulled out, triple tie at the top of the opening, leaving a little bit of room for the sand to shift around for squeezing the bags into place. No drawstrings are used to tighten them. After the storm, I plan to store them back in those bins under the deck once the debris has been cleared. As long as the lids remain on, they will be shaded and protected until the next storm hits. After use, the update will be made.
