they have been used for sort of building up an area to fight run off erosion and it is working well. The material of the bag seems like hardy fiber material but I have not built an earthen wall previously, I probably would use just the same if I did. As long as it holds sand, it will hold dirt as well
The two years I have had mine outside, exposed to the sun and weather, have worn down my coating. There is still some good condition left in them.
In order to lift and carry them I don't fill my suitcase with more than 25 to 30 lbs as I need to be able to lift and carry them. However, I suppose more could be stored in it.
The burlap sandbags may need to be combined with runner so it can spread, as burlap is biodegradable

They were durable and had a great price. The 100 have all been filled without any ripping. These bags did double duty as earth bags on a retaining wall. In some cases, I also filled the holes with sand. No leaks have occurred. The earth-filled ones are very flat, so I went right on them without any issues. included tie is convenient and of a good length, it keeps its position when tied effectively. Ina and I tied a knot. The work is done now so that it can be easily redone if need be. I was able to throw and stack the bags with ease.
This is a very durable product that's easy to fill, easy to carry around, and they aren't too bulky. The ties could have been a bit stronger but otherwise the attached tie is incredibly helpful! We have been through a 120 degree summer in mile high desert, so the UV is brutal, and now we are having sub zero temperatures, but they are still holding up.
As far as I am concerned, it fits my needs perfectly. In addition to the two purchases I've made, I plan to buy more when I need it. For the price, they are very good quality for the use. I stuffed them with dirt for my hillside backyard, they have lasted a year through rain and sunshine and they continue to be in fair condition, no tearing or bursting.
I hope it will last for 3 or 4 years, by then the dirt/soil will already have hardened, so that my intended landscape design will hold up. It looks good because I think they'd blend in with plants and bushes if they were green.
The bags are of very high quality, better than white bags. I used the white ones at my beach house to hold back the rainwater, and they only lasted one year
before they began to tear apart. These bags are on their second year now, and none have yet to fail. The next time I need them, I'll purchase them again.
Any task can be accomplished with ease. Controlling floods is a good thing. By placing them in squares and filling them with soil, you can create a raised bed in no time. With a wall stack in front of you, you've got good coverage. The Zombie Apocalypse is right around the corner, these things really.
It's filled with dry concrete mix and used along the lakeshoreline to prevent As the bags disintegrate, they leave a stack of concrete walls behind.
It looks great. You probably use these for sand because they're poly bags Rather than use them as row covers, I filled them with sand to hold them in place, but here it is Thanksgiving and my field of lavender is covered in snow - it is so cold! Because of that, I did not have to put out the rows covers yet However, these bags have a tie string that holds them closed The bags don't need to be tied shut, so you don't have to try and find small strings to tie them.
They were delivered to me to fill up with compost from the landfill (I get a cubic foot of it at a time), which is a lot. These help control erosion and are used for a variety of purposes You should check if flower beds are worth it before you make a commitment. This is a great way for me to store my compost until I am ready to use it in the garden without tying up my big trashcans, which I use to store Woodchips will also be able to be harvested Even more compost breaks down when it is dense.
