I'm sure it's possible, but I'm not sure.
There is no need for additional power; the cable simply extends the pci port.
Yes, the physical pins do not change the bandwidth; however, these are delicate and should be handled with care.
Yes, I'm running this on a RTX3060 NONLHR SETUP with seven GPUs.

The first day I used this POS, it broke down on me. Everything worked fine the first day, but the next day it wouldn't recognize the graphics card, and I spent the entire day tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong, only to discover that the cable was already loose - The ribbons and board appeared to have been adhered to each other with glue, and the hack job was covered up with tape. br>That's what happens when you try to save money - I've had a day of frustration, lost money, and am back to square one while I wait for a better solution to my problems. br>I wouldn't buy it, and I certainly wouldn't give it to a foe.
Although the product appears to be of good quality, it failed to meet my expectations. I have an original Nvidia 3060 ("nerfed" vs LHR) that mines at 50 Mh/s under certain conditions, such as being connected to a x8 or higher PCIe 3. 0 slot. I bought this extension cable because my computer was too small for the card. It changed the card's behavior to that of an LHR, lowering the hashrate to 33 Mh. I tried everything I could think of except changing the extension cable (including asking if this cable is PCIe 3–which I doubt it is) and came up empty-handed. The card was detected as being connected to a x2 PCIe 2 by my computer. 0 slot. Finally, for twice the price, I ordered another extension cable with PCIe 3 support. After swapping it in, the hashrate instantly increased to 50 Mh. I'm not sure if links work here, but here's the cable that worked for me:.
Stay away from this riser if you want to do yourself a favor!.
For mining 3060s, it's perfect.
They perform as expected. I have a motherboard with seven PCIe x16 slots, which I intended to use to install my RTX3060s. All of the cards have now been fully hashed. I'm going to use these to make a 336MHz rig. Excellent work!.
This PCI- E Extender Cable is sufficient for my needs because I have a card in the slot. I needed a way to move my graphics card down away from my single short PCI slot because it was blocking it. It needed to cover the entire card, not just the port, so it's nearing the end of its useful life. Plus, the little board on the end that connects to my graphics card is a little too tall, preventing my card from fitting close enough to the case to be screwed in. It's just sitting at the bottom of my computer. The fan is not on the bottom of the case because I have my card flipped. Although not ideal, it suffices for the time being because I rarely move my computer.
I had extreme system instability after only 24 hours of use, with the firewall crashing every 4 minutes. 8hrs. All of the instability vanished after I removed the PCIe extension. In addition to the problem it caused, the build quality is poor and it gets very hot. Spend the extra cash on something that won't cause a fire in your home.
My motherboard appeared to be defective, and the power supply appeared to be defective. After countless hours of troubleshooting and the loss of my render farm, it turns out that these cables are just plain bad. Returning is, of course, too late. Thank you for robbing me of my hard-earned cash. NOT.
