These cables are of excellent quality and are extremely simple to use. zero- For my 2017 MacBook, only Arrangement and unchecking mirroring were necessary configurations. I initially purchased one because I doubted it would solve my triple monitor issue. As a result, I now have three 4k monitors (2 28" U28E590Ds and 1 32" Acer B326HK) with a resolution of 4k @ 60Hz. This book comes highly recommended. I even informed my company's procurement department about them because they have a habit of wasting money on Apple Moshi USB drives. Cables from C to DP that have received negative feedback. br>MacOS 10. x is the latest version of the operating system from Apple. Additional scaling resolutions were also added in version 6. 3008x1692 is my preferred resolution, which sounds strange but looks fantastic.
With my MacBook, I was looking for a cable to connect to my 3440x1440p@120Hz monitor. I didn't want to worry about HDMI's limitations, so I bought this cable, which also supports DisplayPort 1. two requirements High refresh rates appeal to me as well. br>br>This cable is in perfect working order with my monitor (Z35P). The resolution is 3440x1440p, and the refresh rate is 120Hz. I've uploaded photos of the frame skipping tests, and you can clearly see that it's running at 120Hz with no frame skips. br>br>I can't say enough good things about the construction quality of this cable. The cable itself feels really sturdy, and both the USB C and DisplayPort heads fit snugly in both my Macbook and my monitor. I really like braided cables because they feel and look so nice. br>br>I would strongly advise anyone looking to connect their USB C device to a monitor that supports higher resolutions and refresh rates to use this cable.
It's nicely packaged in a re-usable container. There was a plastic cap cover on both ends of the cable, as well as some vendor product literature, in a sealable plastic bag. I plugged the cable into my iMac and a BenQ monitor after preparing it for use, but oh no- There isn't anything visible. So I unplugged both devices and tried the connection process again - it worked this time. ugh! Nothing, not even a sliver of a screen flicker on the monitor, has changed. Okay, third time's the charm. I rebooted the system this time. and, voila, nothing has changed. I also tested the cable with a relatively new Mac mini (Intel version) and an LG monitor, following the same procedures as before. Unfortunately, no cable was detected, and the monitor did not show any image. When I asked to return it, Amazon offered to send me a replacement cable right away, but I declined the offer and chose the refund because I plan to continue looking for a USB C - compatible cable. However, I'd like to try a different vendor for the DP cable. The hunt is still on.
Pros:
- 4k@60Hz, 10bit/channel, no flickering, black screens, and random disconnectsbr>- The cable is well-made and features beautiful nylon braiding. br>- Exceptional value!br>br>Possible disadvantage:
- Unlike most DisplayPort cables, this one does not have a clip. br>br>Thoughts: There are no clips or release button (which didn't bother me because the connection was still strong). br>br> br>I tried a few different adapters, but this was the only one that could handle 4k@60hz without causing random disconnects. A number of USB-compatible devices C to HDMI docks claiming 4k@60 are only capable of 4k@30. br>At first, the colors on my Philips screen appeared washed out - It's not the cable's fault; it's a bug in macOS or the monitor's EDID profile. If you are affected, simply search for "macOS EDID override Catalina" (or your current OS) to find a solution. It looks great after you've applied it!.
4K UHD at 60Hz is supported. I'm connecting my Lenovo C940 laptop, which has two USB 3. 0 ports, with this cable. The external 4K UHD monitor has only one Type C Thunderbolt port and no HDMI or DP ports. br>br>The goal was to get it to work at the highest frequency possible. I already owned a USB flash drive. The monitor can't work at frequencies higher than 30Hz via HDMI, so you'll need a C to HDMI 4K adapter. br>br>This cable worked right out of the box, and the laptop/monitor pair instantly and automatically negotiated the 4K/60 Hz combination, as shown in Windows Advanced Display Settings. The picture has been crisp, stable, and flawless so far (after two days), and while you may not notice a higher refresh rate in most situations, it is definitely good for your eyes/brain.
His laptop doesn't have a MUX switch, but it does have a typeC port, so he was able to use the GPU to its full potential by bypassing the APU with this cable. This cable worked perfectly, and he can now game at 185hz on his 32-inch external monitor! The difference in screen and picture quality can now be clearly seen. The cable is braided and reasonably thick, so it does not feel cheap. It appears to be constructed of high-quality materials.
There's no way to interact with it because it's just a desktop image. I began by attempting a different well-known well-known well-known well- All three products were purchased from Amazon: an active cable, a cable matters adapter, and LG's display port cable. The good news is that Amazon has a generous return policy. br>br>All I want to do is improve the text display, which is terrible via HDMI. Apple blames LG and others, but it appears to be their fault. So, for the time being, I'm going with HDMI because the graphics are great and I can enlarge text or read it fine on my laptop. br>br>I could return both the monitor and the computer to Costco, but that would be a pain, and since it's just the text, I'm going to wait and see if this issue is fixed with the next Mac Mini. If that's the case, I'll upgrade.
Don't be hesitant to purchase this DP cable for your stunning 4K monitor. In addition to an HDMI 2, I decided to purchase a DP cable. For my laptop, I already have a 0 cable. I can attest to the fact that the performance is at least comparable. The cable is built to outlast my monitor, which is a pleasant surprise. I can't test stereo sound because a three-conductor cable is missing. When I get the proper cable, I'll post an update here. You should buy it if you only require a 4K@60Hz cable. A rubber/plastic HDMI cable was more expensive for me. I'd even go so far as to call this cable "military-grade. ".
