Product Description

Be sure to enter the right model number when you enter yours.
The largest NVMe SSD on the market. Easy to install and perfect for updating your computer's performance by enabling faster startup times, shutdowns, application loading, file transfers, and full storage
High-speed NVMe PCIe Gen3 x 4 interface offers sequential read / write speeds of up to 1900MB / s and 1100MB / s, respectively 4K random read / write levels up to 90K and 240K IOPS
The drive combines SSDs with high storage capacity, a low cost, and internal QLC NAND for the best of both worlds. As opposed to hard disks, it will not overheat and will be quiet while working
M is for the smallest form factor. It is also vibration-resistant and widely compatible with laptops, ultrabooks, gaming consoles, and other mobile computing devices thanks to its lack of moving parts
Ensure reliable performance with solid state drives. This means that the MTBF is 0.000 hrs. It is possible for SSD performance to vary from system to system, depending on hardware and software configuration, operating system, and applications

NVMe is a great value
5/5

The 1TB model is a great deal for the price. I purchased it for secondary storage of my game libraries and a few Docker containers that I create, and for those purposes it is a wonderful purchase! In the attached photo, you can see that my write and read speeds were close to what the drive was rated for (I should note that my secondary NVMe slot on my B450 motherboard is rated at PCIe v2). I am running 0 x4 to give me theoretical speeds of 2000 mb/s r/w however, due to design and manufacturing variations, and the latency penalty of PCIe version 2, I am actually seeing less than 1000 mb/s. A PCIe v3 card costs 0 compared to a PCIe v2 card. Therefore, my read speeds are lower than average (that probably explains my somewhat lower than anticipated read speeds). It is its rated write endurance (apart from the good speeds for the price) that I find to be the best feature of this NVMe device. This drive is advertised on MicroCenter's product page (the vendor for the drive) as having an endurance of 700 TBW, which is excellent It is obviously too early to predict how long this drive will last, but I have had the best experience with MicroCenter's Inland brand. I have owned a few SATA SSDs from them (still do) and have been very pleased, so I am hopeful the same quality will be present in these drives as well. This is a great choice if you're looking for a good secondary storage device or if you just need to upgrade the performance of your storage at a good price! A perfect score!.

As with most things in life, you get what you pay for
3/5

Although the NVMe 1TB drive looks like a good deal, it is actually not as good as it looks. The bad part is I can no longer get my money back since it's been almost 10 months since I made the transaction. Stability is an issue with this drive. Whenever I try reading or writing to the drive, it begins with no problems but seems to fail after a few minutes. I have tried this on Windows machines, iMacs, and Mac Pros, using different interfaces (USB adapters, PCI adapters, etc). I tried to eject the drive correctly, but the Mac told me I had done it incorrectly. Everything seems to work fine until it happens again, which it always does if I unplug and reconnect the device. The headaches it will cause are not worth it to buy this drive.

It has great performance for such a small drive
5/5

It was installed in the top of my computer when I first got it. It wouldn't post in the 2nd slot of my x470. So I put it into my 2nd PCIE 2 is the only slot that works with There is no mode 0. I started working fine in my top m after updating to the latest beta BIOS for my x470. However, there is only one slot! There are certainly faster drives out there, but even at SATA SSD speeds most current PCs will have CPU limitations in any case, so the highest speeds will only show up in benchmark tests. It can read short sequential data files (1GB) at a speed of 2050MB/s, but hits 1850MB/s over longer or larger tests (16GB). I have no complaints here, since this bike seems to be hitting its rated speeds right on the nose! Considering the drive's rating of 700TBW, I would say MicroCenter/Inland has a real winner here that should last me a very long time for sure! I will update this review if I have additional experience with this drive.

I've edited after some research to get SSD working
4/5

I edited it Having taken the time to figure out why the SSD was not being recognized, I conducted additional research. Earlier I found information indicating that the laptop must first be initialized for it to be recognized by the PC. I was able to get the SSD working in less than ten minutes. I had a problem with lack of user knowledge, but so far all is well. Currently, I will not be able to review the Inland Professional 1TB SSD 3D QLC NAND M because I cannot get a good experience with it yet. The PCIe NVMe 3 cards each support 2 2280 PCIe slots. A solid state drive (1TB) connected to 0 x 4 ports. Because of this, after I install the software onto my PC, the drive does not display. The physical installation does not require any special knowledge, all I have to do is plug it in. Set the drive in place and screw the mother board down. It does not appear to be recognized even after rebooting the computer. There is no drive name appearing in Windows 10 when you boot up the computer. I've checked the BIOS and have confirmed that the drive is there, but it doesn't show up in the System Recovery Options. I am currently unable to utilize the function as of now. Although I have read on a few forums that "Reinstalling" Windows could aid the issue, I have yet to do it. Due to this issue, I'm giving it 1 star until I can address it. I'll come back and reassess the rating when it's fixed.

Games can be stored in this format
5/5

In my Sabrent Rocket 4 I have a 3D controller. In addition to 1 500GB for my OS, I had 3 2TB SSDs and 3 2TB 7200rpm HDDs for the storage of games. My goal was to move my games to an NVME, and I started searching for one. My eyes kept falling on this one by Microcenter, and the reviews were mostly positive, so I decided to purchase it. This is a great drive for a Gen3 PICe, and it is easier to install in the secondary M slot of my X570 Elite. The second slot is available. I am getting temperatures of low 30's at idle, and upper 40's/low 50's when I am under load, using the heatsink that came with my motherboard. Pretty good for a first try. Game loading is much faster now than before due to great performance. A 2TB SSD from Samsung or a 2TB M are equally good choices when there are two options available. I am willing to pay a little more for 2 for the same price It is better to go with a faster drive. After reading the one star reviews, I was concerned about the failure soon after I bought it. We have been using the device daily for two weeks and we are almost 1/3 full. The results are still quite good (see pictures).

With the new M1 CPU integrated in the Mac Book Pro, 30MB/sec sustained writing speed is possible
3/5

Cached speed is the only information displayed by fraudulent specs. As the only thing running on the system is this outrageously slow PCIe SSD, and nothing else is running, it can sustain a sustained write speed of 30MB/sec whereas other system activities and software are idle. I also had the same performance problems when using an Inland module that was directly connected to the There is no way to insure that the modules will refuse to throttle due to cooling issues since they are being used in thunderbolt enclosures with active fan cooling, so that claim is as false as the NVMe module is only fast for short periods of time. It is only fair that this one is sold based on the external interface speed and cache speed of the SSD module, which are actually covering up extremely slow flash memory modules that are lower in performance than mechanical hard disk drives and way too slow to function as video cameras because they transfer data so slowly. Although these modules are already slow when "new", the extremely slow speed is probably due to the poorly designed assembly of the modules. There are some new modules that have worn tops and bottoms and are being sold in a used condition.
