It's a perfect 1TB drive
5/5

I've never had a 1TB SSD before, but I've had 256GB and 512GB drives from a variety of manufacturers, so I figured I'd go with Samsung if I went up to 1TB. Using Acronos True Image 2019 instead of the Samsung Magician software that you can download, I was able to clone my 512GB Mushkin to the Samsung drive without issue. br>br>I tried using the Samsung as the boot drive to see if it would work, and it did. I tried booting the drive a few times to see if there were any issues, but there weren't any. br>br>After that, I erased the 512GB drive and plan to use it as my second drive, installing Linux 19. I was able to install 1 Mint on it, giving me a dual boot system. br>br>I'm ecstatic. br>br>I'm ecstatic.

For the price, this is a fantastic SSD for the PS4/PS4 PRO or a new PC
5/5

I bought this SSD for my PS4 PRO and my load times are faster and the home screen is very zippy now I did my research as I do with anything I spend over fifty dollars on and it has a lot of positive reviews and please ignore any PC related reviews about this SSD because your PS4 or PS4 PRO will not push this drive as hard as a PC would but on the other hand I've heard it's really good for anyone with a simple starter PC so to each their own but overall it's a good.

This was a difficult setup
4/5

I'm hoping for good performance in the future, especially since this SSD comes with no installation instructions other than the most unhelpful diagram ever. If you just want an extra drive to run certain things faster, rather than migrating data, this SSD is a good choice. I'm fortunate in that I'm a software developer. Which meant I was at a loss for what to do. So I called customer service, expecting nothing since it was 3 a. m. A couple of times I had to restart. I attempted to rewire the sata cables (which, by the way, it did not come with). It's a little inconvenient. ) Nothing. br>br>Finally, on the verge of giving up, I right-clicked on "This PC" in File Explorer, hoping to find something useful. I discovered Manage. I went to Disk Management and sat for a few moments. Finally, the new SSD was discovered to have been unformatted. In a literal sense. So I just did that, and it now appears in the file explorer. yay. After a few tests, it appears to be downloading and moving files at a rate of around 1 MB/s, with the other components acting as bottlenecks. So. in the end EDIT: For a hard drive, it looks good. br>br> Running programs on this SSD, on the other hand, appears to be wreaking havoc on my CPU. Why is it that I can't figure out? It even overheats my CPU to 100% while playing League of Legends, which is just the oddest thing because it never went beyond 20% before migrating it over to SSD. Is it possible that the drive has a high miss rate, forcing the CPU to query it frequently?.

Wow! This is something I should have done much sooner!   I've always been wary of hard drives, but I came across this one in a good condition and decided to give it a try
5/5

br>Ok, so when I got the drive, I ran into a problem: I didn't have a cloning cable, so I had to order one here. The second snag was that when I was ready to transfer, I realized that the old drive was larger in gigabytes than this one, but no problem, I downloaded a free clone software that allowed me to clone a larger drive to a smaller drive; the downside was that the process took approximately 6 hours to complete, but boy, was I happy. My laptop now takes literally 5 seconds from pressing the power button to full desktop, which is an amazing blast speed.

Samsung Magician has the ability to deceive benchmarking software
3/5

Screenshots from various benchmarking programs are shown below. Initially, screenshots with RAPID turned on, then screenshots with RAPID turned off. Finally, here are the most significant HD Tune Pro 5 screenshots. The number 70 is the most dependable and objective, and the figures are appalling. I should also mention that if the system already has a Samsung SSD, the RAPID mode on the second SSD will not work. You'll have to decide which ones you want to enable. This SSD (translated by Google) is not one I would recommend purchasing.

Upgrade your Xbox One X to a solid-state drive (SSD) without breaking the bank! My Xbox One X's internal hard drive died
5/5

I decided to replace it with a solid-state drive (SSD)! I purchased it, installed it, and wow, what a difference! Games that used to take a minute or more to load now take about 12 seconds to load. There are only 20 seconds remaining! Longevity is unknown; however, I've had many cheaper SSDs for PCs that are still working perfectly today! And I trust Samsung more than the off-brand ones I have, so if your Xbox's internal Seagate fails, you should definitely upgrade to an SSD! Because there is no bottleneck with the write, download speeds will be at their peak, and load times will be three times faster, with open world games drawing in real time. My money was well spent!.

Small in size I was let down
3/5

I like how compact it is, how light it is, how fully enclosed the circuit board is (some other brands have the circuit board exposed underneath the HD) and how there are no moving parts (it is an SSD). However, because my PC (running Windows 10 and meeting/exceeding all spec requirements to interface with the Samsung 860 QVO) could not recognize it, I had to return it. This item receives a 2 out of 5 rating. I gave it four stars because I believe this is a unique case; otherwise, I would have given it a four-star rating. Only if I can say something about its dependability will I give it a five-star rating.

This is a fantastic drive, and it has made a significant difference in the performance of our computers
5/5

One for my desktop and one for my laptop were purchased. We love the drives, and they're easy to install with the program provided to clone your computer's drive to the new drive. What a perfect system!.
