In order for the device to work out of the box, it requires firmware updates. In normal circumstances, this would be fine, except for lack of hardware updates. Whenever I try to use the app, I get an error message. It is useless. Added more notes to the text A week ago, I spent a lot of time with Motorola customer support trying to get this device updated. The process was not successful, and the device remains completely unusable. Aside from having poor app quality, confusing UX, poorly worded grammar and spelling, and a buggy interface, I was pretty surprised by it. So I am pretty surprised at the experience I had with Motorola's suite of smart home devices because I assume Motorola would be heavily investing in them. It is not worth the time or money you will spend. This will be returned to you.
Such a waste of time and energy. Due to the Motorola brand, I thought the first device might just be incompatible, but when I tried the second device and it also didn't work, I gave up quite quickly.
There are times when it is slow to load and won't do what you require. In addition, the monitor connects and functions through WiFi, but then seems to randomly disconnect. Although the app will send you many annoying notifications asking you whether you would like to hear the noise that set it off, don't worry. The noise couldn't take 12 years to load on my phone, I don't want to wait that long. Why not just get that monitor to work right from the start? If I spend $15 on a monitor I will get a simple one from WalMart that will do all I need.
