Only this tool can be used to install (not to remove) automotive universal joints. In terms of u-values the smallest is 25" in length. Both the PTO pump universal joints and the Mose steering shaft are significantly smaller than that, so neither of these tools will be able to make your application work unless their bearing cups are at least one inch

This tool works in conjunction with their U joint removal tool and is the best! While a lot of people seem to be upset about the $99 price tag, let's be honest, we have bought worse things with that price tag. It doesn't cost more than $99 for this tool! My recommendation is to check this out!.

The first positive is that it is not made in China. I had to replace three u-bolts due to damage from bending My 1993 Ford F150 4x4 has a number of issues with its joints. By using this tool, we were able to replace even the most challenging one! Since it is light in weight and has a slim profile, I had more flexibility in seating the tool correctly. I highly recommend this product even though it is costly!.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. The removal tool did not work for me. The new joint was removed and replaced using the installed tool (which was not its fault). A large socket should be placed on one side, into which the joint cap should be inserted.

The tool is made in Canada and the makers should be proud (not sarcastically) of their accomplishment. The universal joint disassembler I purchased from them was also a good buy.
