I have no doubt it will work on all sterndrives with gimbal brackets, by the way.
It was absolutely fine and very well done. The tool is well made, and as I work in the boating industry, it is essential. Cobra and King Cobra are different because the former uses a clutch dog, similar to an outboard, and the latter uses a cone clutch, similar to those used by Volvo. You'll find it on the upper part rather than at the bottom of the drive. No bullets will hurt you.

The style reminds me of another style I have used before. This approach to having the bearing pulled works the best of all the options. In the event that the bearing needs to be removed from the bushing before the bushing is pulled out, it's easier to remove. So far, I have used it 3 times when gimbal bearings have become stuck. In the last case, salt water corrosion destroyed it. It's likely I will find one that won't work in the future, but I hope I retire before that happens.
In the past, I have removed gimbal bearings by making use of some creative methods for removal, but have finally grown tired of it. After lining up projects for a few jobs and changing the bearing in my own boat, I gave up and bought this after having to line up multiple jobs and having to replace a bearing. I was really impressed with this tool and the fact that it is 100% American-made. I replaced three bearings with it the day it arrived, and it got the job done well. In response to the reviews that complained about the threads being stripped and bound. In general, if you are not smart enough to lubricate threads on a pulling or pushing tool, you shouldn't be doing the job in the first place. I just thought I would mention it.
Taking 5 stars from me would mean they built me "Hex" ends. Therefore, I will be able to move the shaft with a box wrench! That's easier than I thought!.
The outcome of this item was very satisfactory for my husband so I gave it a 5 star rating. The gimbal wasn't out of the camera before he had spent about 15 minutes getting it The tools must have lived with him.
I found it to be very useful. The puller was able to remove the bearing in less than five minutes, even though it was very tight. You won't have to hammer slides anymore! It is great to have you on board.
I have a Merc Alpha 1 Gen 2 which works great.
I am very pleased with this tool! After pulling the bearing clean, it was ready to go. It would be a good purchase for me.
He is working on Alpha One's Mercruiser It is easy to remove the gimbel bearing.
