I found this tool to be perfect for my purpose! I'm impressed with the quality of the tool. The part fit snugly and got my bushing out in one go. It did not even mar the part. I bought it as I needed it for one specific purpose. I hope I will be able to use it on something else in the future. In case it is helpful, I used that wrench to remove an oil pump/distributor intermediate shaft bushing on an integrated car that was fully assembled and installed. It saved me a lot of time and effort.
I used this to remove the races in my MMT6 so that I could install a limited slip differential in my Focus ST. I am very pleased with the results of this product.
It was exactly what I needed to remove the shaft bushing of my 440 with this slide hammer.
Using this tool is recommended if you need to pull a bearing or bushing. The tools made by OTC are good, and the prices are reasonable.
During the rebuild of my pump, the puller was used to remove the bearing at the rear. With a little heat, it worked like a charm. The product is well constructed and of high quality.
It works great to pull out the lower unit seals out of the outboard side.
