Questions & Answers

Does this tool require a particular size of socket?

In order to work on this beast of a tool, a one 7/16 inch socket set is needed as well as an impact wrench. The gun I used was a Mulwuakee Fuel M18 Impact. The job was easy and went smooth, even though you might have to remove the bearings more than once to get the shins just right. As this was my first time, I probably had to remove the bearings more than 5 times to get the shims and tolerances within specs. I wish you good luck and ask you to do your homework

It is stated in the notes that this tool cannot be used on the pinion bearing of the Dana 80. becomes, what tool am I going to need to do the actual pulling?

We're sorry to inform you that we have not made a tool that can actually pull items like this.

The Ford 10 should be able to use this. ?

A 14 bolt GM corporate set and a dana 60 are what I bought. Having yet to use the set, I'm not sure what the Ford 10 will be like.

Toyotas do not really fit this category
4/5

My Toyota 8" diff needs service, so I bought this to rebuild it. As you can see from the ad, it states Dana and Ford, but in comments I read that it also works on Yota vehicles. So I didn't really know what to expect. It is still a little too big to grab the center of the bearing on the pinion, meaning that you will mostly pull against the cage with the smallest collar in the set. It wouldn't be a wise decision to do that. It probably would work just as well if not better if pulled by the carrier bearings. Did not try it, but am fairly certain it would. I did succeed in yotting, but definitely keep in mind to buy the proper size collar if you're planning on doing yotas.

I found it to be well My jaws are very well made, very beefy, this will last me a long time
5/5

It used to be a real pain to pull bearings, but I now take seconds to do so. The investment has been well worth it. As far as I understand, durasolid makes these bearing pullers and then sells them to other companies who rebrand them with their brand name. That is quite common in the tool world, and this purchase was no exception, I decided to go directly to the source, and I am very satisfied with the results. I would recommend it to everyone. For those who don't know, it takes a 1" 7/16 socket on the end, so I would recommend using an impact, but be sure to lubricate the threads first.

you're doing any kind of work, you need it! There are no words to describe how heavy it is! The packaging was very protective with foam and a sleeve to ensure it would last
5/5

Although some reviews may say it will only last a few uses, it is likely to last. Reminded me to do that just now There's no faster way to gear a Toyota 4-wheeler 8" and this thing is a beast! Everything appears to be working properly. It's always a pain and a hassle to replace bearings when doing a differential, and I've done a few in the past. I was able to save so much time with this. As well as being incredibly durable, there has never been any scratching or damage after multiple uses. I recommend that you buy It is very safe too when compared with a bearing puller.

This is excellent
5/5

The price is well worth it. In the past, we had to pull differential bearings on presses to get them out. This tool took less than 5 minutes to pull the pinion bearing, which was the first time I have pulled bearings like this. It took a little fiddling and experimenting, and then bang! I've done it! Once the tool has been adjusted, the side bearings have pulled right out. We'll have you up and running in no time. In order to press the bearing onto the carrier, you will need a press. Aside from that, it is a breeze to remove pinions and side bearings with the tool. I think these things hit the streets pretty fast from someplace There is a country called India, I believe. Tool that is very durable. To ensure that the threads are in good working condition, I recommend greasing them.

The situation is fine
3/5

Angular contact will cause bearings to be pulled. The point should be made. You may experience a delay at customs when ordering an item that ships from India. Depending on what you do with it, quality is good enough for a few DIY projects. A lot of people will find it difficult to maintain since it does not have a very robust thread and will fail over time. In my Dana 60 I used it to finalize setup and replace the threaded pusher with something more robust.
I expect to weld a nut in and replace the threaded pusher with something more robust. It is generally recognized that the clam shells that fit the shims the most closely damaged them. As its shims grab the bearing where it grabs the bearing, there is no chance that an expensive unit would perform better. There is no escaping the fact that the design is as it is.

can't see how a tool worth twice as much would be better than one that costs half as much
5/5

Please note. I was able to get it to work without any problems. As of yet, it has been used with a Dana 44 and Ford 9 inch without a hitch. can't see how a tool worth twice as much would be better than one that costs half as much. NOTE

When using this style puller on a Ford 9 inch, you need the yellow clam shell on one side, but the other side. The ring gear doesn't fit if you're using this to pull the carrier. It will either be necessary to use the other puller style with the two hooks or to just use the black clam shell to pull the bearing. Although I took the black clam shell and pulled it without damage, it could have been due to luck.

I would recommend this to any mechanic who does their own repair work
5/5

The quality was good for the price. I had to rearrange the carrier shims on my trailer, but otherwise no complaints It was very easy to do this using the loc differential. By using this tool, it is not necessary to set up bearings and determine the final bearings. In my day job, I am a car mechanic. For the 4 hours I am on the road, however, It has been 5 times in my life (so far) that I should have thought of using Search for the video "Easiest Way To Remove Differential Carrier Bearings" by BSK Garage on YouTube. In his link is an exact replica of this This product is made in India, and although I saw some people saying there were broken welds on it, I noticed none. This is a tool I cannot live without now because it is of such high quality.

This thing paid for itself in no time
5/5

The only diffs I can verify it works with are dana 44s and 60s, but I don't need it for anything else besides those. is a really useful tool and for the price that was offered at the time of my purchase, I would buy it again straight away. Although I have only used it with Danas, I have no doubt that it will be functional on many different diffs.
