Is there a recommendation on the size of bearing for the rear of my 2003 Nissan Frontier? This bearing has a 3 x 0 size. How many square inches are there on 8 x 3?

Bearing separators must allow both the inner and outer races of the bearing cage to be supported equally, and they must hold both the outer and inner races of the bearing cage together by the nubs on the bolts on the shaft around the bearing cage. In other words, if you want to remove a 3" bearing, you need a separator with a minimum spread of 3". Your job at 2 might be a little too small for this spreader. Pictures the pulling unit IN the photos without any disclaimer to indicate that it is not part of the photo. The separator includes no puller, therefore I receive no puller or separator. These are the kinds of ads you see in trash bins. These sellers are what I despise on this site, and they're what make browsing through this site so dirty.

I at least have a new set of Timken bearings to install in my 1972 Jeep CJ5. I found this tool to be useful for removing axle bearings from my axles in my Jeep. It did not break or bend in my twenty ton press, which is a positive. The finish is pretty durable, and the threaded portions have been very smooth in operation. Even though this Bearing Separator is made in China, I want to thank Shankly Auto for the product.

This is perfect for pulling bike fork crown racers! I'm glad I decided to spend $14 on this crown race remover instead of the $270 Park Tool crown race remover (which I'm sure can remove crown races much faster)! You have to work a little harder to remove it, but it's worth it the fork is left untouched and without damage

I don't have a single complaint. I believe this is a very high quality product. My life should outlast my body. The 50-pack that I purchased was my first purchase This piece was a surprise to me. I was not expecting the threaded holes to be 3/8"-deep It will work well with the rest of my puller set since it is so narrow. Here's the update As a result of liking the medium size so much, I ordered the large size as well. It comes with 1/2"-- 3" of extension. I am also able to use my puller set with 13 threads.

Using this just removed the outer bearing from an axle on a Nissan C200k. As my slide hammer was too large to fit the threads and I didn't have an adapter, I put it in the press instead. Having said that, I doubt the slide hammer would have broken it apart if it had fitted. For more surface, I had to put 1/8 flat between it and the bedding blocks. However, it worked well and pressed out easily.

I can't believe how good that is! So far, I haven't used it, but I plan on using it this week to remove wheel bearings from my LS400 front hubs using my 12-volt tool

There is a hydraulic press that weighs one ton and this bearing splitter to support the ungainly press hub. There is a feel of quality about this splitter It is a beautiful piece of machining and plating. It is both heavy duty and solid in every way for such a big beast. I will let you know if it blows up.

It was a good price for a good bearing separator. A bearing could be removed from the device This roller cage can handle the dimension of 43X90X30) without causing damage to the pinion shaft. This is a pretty tight tolerance job, there's just a 2mm gap between the pinion and There was no way to remove my old separator without destroying my In the case of replacing only the bearing, it does not matter if it is destroyed. When there is no other option but to reuse a good old bearing, a good tool like this can be You should still readjust the separator several times while removing it so it doesn't stick to the roller cage while it's being removed. If your roller cage still spins when you press it out, then you're fine. As it hasn't been with me for long, I am not able to speak much about longevity.

It was almost as if I was going to break the press before I was able to remove a part from I have no issues with this separator, it got the job done with no problems. It is difficult to see why it wouldn't hold up over time. Also, this is a helpful all-around size. You might want to consider filing the rough edges.
