I don't know depending on what you are doing. On my 2008 JK, the bolts aren't long enough for me to use them. The pinion bearing of the front axle was able to be removed by pressing. As I tried to remove the bearings from the Dana 30 carrier, it also did not work.
The reason for this is not apparent to me. This bearing separator is called a bearing separator but it should be called a bearing puller and not just a bearing The separator/puller is a device for separating and pulling. In order to remove the bearing, the "lip" on the inside of the separator wedges itself between it and whatever it is pressed against. Tighten the bolts on either end of the separator and you are done. The slotted bracket, bolts, extensions and center drive bolt are then attached to the separator, and the bearing can be removed in the rest of its length. Under a bearing, a standard bearing puller will not fit because its jaw ends are too thick. I love the price and how durable it is. It is the only thing that keeps me going.
A size big and a size small should be available

I am dumb because I want to show how powerful this bearing separator is. The tool was purchased to remove a pulley from the crankshaft of a lawnmower. In spite of not noticing the set screw securing the pulley to the shaft, I missed this. In a very short time, I exerted an immense As suddenly as it happened, the pulley snapped in two. Obviously, I made a mistake. It is doubtless that if it was powerful enough to pull anything off of even the dirtiest corroded shaft, it would have enough power to pull anything off of a rusted shaft even today. I'd like you to do the opposite of what I do. Before loosening the set screw, make sure the screw is loose.
After pulling off the bearings, I rebuilt the Excellent product, I would recommend it and buy it.
I had to remove the inner race of the front wheel bearing on Although there was not much room between the race and the hub, I was able to get a good grip after using a propane torch (bernzomatic style) to heat the race. After connecting the arms and pulling the race out, I was able to remove the race. As for the other side races, I had to put the bearing seperator jaws in a vice and tune up the teeth with a rattail and flat file to make them sharp again. After heating, puller should be really tight at the base, and it should be able to be removed easily. It's easy! I would not advise buying this tool if you're intending to use it frequently (like in a professional shop setting) but like the title says, it did the job It seemed that the jaws were made of cast iron and squished into the crack as opposed to biting In the course of a single night, it was fine for the price.
Advertisement for the set stated it had a 3" and 2" screen. Neither the tools nor the bolts measure three inches or two inches. The difference between 3" and 2" makes nothing sense to me. In my opinion, it should be able to remove a bearing with a 3" diameter. That's not going to happen. In my opinion, the wedge shape was designed to squeeze between the bearing and collar in order to give the puller As there were no instructions, I tried to modify the program to make it work and it did not work. Since this is not returnable, I am unable to do so. The machine shop I hired ended up being the best choice. I noticed that there are several videos of instructions available (YouTube, etc. ), but none of them describe what size puller goes on what bearing size, or 'wedging in' the bearing to grab it. If you are not familiar with this set, then you should not purchase it. As soon as I took the shaft and bearing to the machine shop, I discovered what had happened.
Originally, I was concerned that the ACME style threads on the extraction bolt would not provide enough force, but they did not. The kit is an excellent investment for a cheap price, and you shouldn't keep it out of.
Getting rid of a pinion bearing required the purchase of this puller. It was a good choice for the The set is decent quality, all parts are interchangeable and so the height can be adjusted as well as the It would be a good choice for DIYers or occasional users.
To remove a bearing from a pinion shaft, I bought this. It took me just a little while to complete it. When the nuts were under pressure, they broke Despite being made of metal, they are pretty soft. It was easier to use different nuts to do the job. tool may be sufficient for one-time use, but it is unlikely to last for an extended period of time.
The purpose of purchasing this was to pull a bearing from the shaft of a chop saw for a friend. Considering this tool, I thought it would be an excellent addition to my tool collection for the future as I have struggled with similar items in the past. This worked well and had a nice quality overall. The casting could have been improved by a little bit.
