It makes no sense to me not to. The only way to get it snugger than you can tighten with your hand is to use your fingers.

It isn't a product that an occasional backyard mechanic uses all of the time, but it is indispensable when you need it. In my case, I find it increasingly difficult to get a firm grip on and apply turning pressure to the oil filter on my pickup when it needs to be changed. The filter wrench remover, however, met expectations it clamped onto a well-torqued filter that a chain oil change store had installed, allowing me to easily loosen it. The cup that I ordered was the correct size--no need to order one specifically sized To remove a filter, select the appropriate remover. As the loosening process continued, the adjustable prongs tightened automatically. Here is what we conclude Despite its high cost, it effectively accomplishes its purpose.
It's exactly what I need to remove larger filters with this filter wrench. With its snug fit and ease of removal, it is sure to last a long time. Our seams will be made to sustain a lot.
I was able to install my E450 oil filter without any difficulty. It firmly gripped the filter and didn't slip. This product would be a good choice for you.
This tool works well in tight spots, but it should have a reverse function to tighten oil filters, as it only loosens them.
As a result, I'm pleased with how it performs and I'm satisfied with my purchase. This is a 5 out of 5!.
I am truly impressed with it. I was able to use my old filter as a tightening strip for the new one after I took my old one off.
