There is no doubt in my mind that it will fit newer version Cummins 62500 and 3500 models. The L7. It would be perfect for that application, so I bought it today, checked it under the truck, and it was perfect.
I think it fits perfectly on my son's 2018 2500. Under the bed area, it made it easy to change the filter since it is a filter changer.
That should be the case. I was able to fit it into my 6 in 2018. The fine for 7 is $7.
The water separator is located at the rear of the unit. 2004 is not a fit for this and it won't work. The socket I use for that purpose is 29mm

This engine is made in the USA. It has a Cummins 7 liter engine. Made in Canada The wrench for this rear water separator fuel sensor comes from the US. It DOES work with 2013 and earlier The 2017 Ram 6 can be found on the truck. It fits the sensor nut perfectly, and it has a rubber grip. (Mopar Filter part # 68197867AA) Wrench is of good quality, as well. Attached are pictures of the filter sensor with the wrench to illustrate how it fits. It is my hope that this is helpful.
For any mechanic (or DIYer) who changes his own fuel filters, the 7 diesel is even MORE useful. As it is short enough to fit inside the small space where the filter is located, and fit into a tight space, it is able to move the sensor effectively without damaging it. The tool I own now would have been helpful a few years ago!.
It is easy to remove the WIF sensor from a 2014 Ram 3500 if you use this method. The following hints may be of interest You should drain with the drain valve and unscrew the WIF if there is any fuel coming The man filter body should then be removed from the opening and placed in a catch container You will get some spillage, but it is quickly caught in.
Fuel filter for 7 Cummins engines! Making it easy for yourself to perform maintenance on your own car is made possible by having the right tools for the job!.
In case some of you were wondering if this wrench was essential when removing the rear fuel sensor. This is not the case. The crescent wrench can also be used for this task, but a write tool is so much easier to use. This tool will give you some peace of mind, but that is all it will do. You know when you are using the wrench you won't round off the edges of the PLASTIC nut, which I imagine happens over time when you are only using The wrench I used for my Ram 6 2013 was quite useful. The engine has a 7-cummins engine.
My experience working as a diesel mechanic has taught me that channel locks, vise grips, and adjustable wrenches cannot be used to take off the water separator sensor, so I don't recommend it. Using this tool will be a great benefit This water separator sensor is used in series 7 Cummins engines. My truck is a 2018 Ram 2500 and I am very happy with it. I highly recommend it.
It fits my 2016 Ram 3500 4 x 4 crew cab cab chassis with Cummins 6. I do not have to worry about stripping or rounding the plastic sensor that screws into the bottom of the filter housing. Others say it fits a Duramax or Powerstroke. An engine with a 7 L capacity.
This simple tool makes it so much easier and faster to remove the sensor from the bottom of the separator through the use of a lever. That's a nice addition, it fits perfectly around the plastic housing, and it relieves the strain of stripping the plastic with oversized channels or crescent wrenches.
