The hole will fit the 21 mm filter wrench, and the 3/8 screw is the drive for the ratchet and the filter wrench itself.
It's not clear to me. The part fits both 2013 BMW x3 and 2012 BMW
A shot at it is probably worth it. At 86, the size is just right. A 4mm tube. I'll give you a little more. At 86mm, I doubt that 4mm would slip to the left or right. The number of flutes in your oil filter should be read. Metal that is well built.

According to the description, I have a 2004 Volvo XC70 with a filter cap that measures 86mm in diameter As a result of checking with digital calipers, it is exactly 0mm. A cap of 85 has been set. It is 8mm between the flats opposite each other. When you unscrew the cap wrench from the filter, it's tough to get it off once you screw it back on. Hammer it on, unscrew it, then screw it back on, and it's as tough as ever to get it off. A cap wrench (cast) of the "OEM TOOLS" brand was also ordered. I have found that it has the exact dimensions to allow you to remove/reinstall the filter cap without any problems.
It does happen that the guys before you used a strap wrench and dorrilla'd it on instead of a torque wrench when tightening the caps. As I mentioned before, it is always a little unnerving to use a wrench with play in it since it seems as though the wrench could slip and wrapping tape around the cap or inside the wrench just tends to be annoying. Despite its tight fit, this filter wrench removes caps that are overtightened with ease without any play at all. All your problems will be solved if you buy this wrench.
I used it on my 2013 X6 - just perfect. I Better Oil Filter Wrench for BMW is just perfect. Those with a straight 6, 3L motor (N55B30M0) are twin scroll straight 6. It fits like a glove in the picture, as you can see. I think that's a perfect height! The oil filter cap fits snugly and tightly as it should, so the oil filter cap will not be damaged. Excellent purchase. We are extremely pleased with it.
Easy to put on and take off, but not easy to take As I was about to change the oil in my 16 X5M, I did not want to spend almost $45 on the factory part number 83302455965, so I turned to Amazon for an alternative. The tool fit over the plastic oil filter housing fine when I had the car in the air, but after landing, the tool would not fit over it. The two years I have left on my degree are going well A dead man lift and a piece of wood that I positioned over a post lift allowed me to push the tool on it. When I first saw him, I freaked out and thought, "Wait. ". If I change the filter element and screw the filter back on, how am I supposed to get it off? As you can see in the photo, it is very difficult to access the access hole in the under panel using your fingers, but I managed to use my finger tips and pull the wrench cap off with ease. The Motivx Tools MX2326-MS will be a worthy investment if you spend a little more Designed for use with CNC machines, the Motivx is.
The fact is that although there are 1000's of BMW's in my town, nobody has or can order a wrench for me to fit my E82 engine.
So, using Amazon's 2 day prime shipping, I got this in 5 days as is now the norm. nicely and is much heavier than the other pressed steel wrenches I have. It has a wrench hex pad and a 3/8" drive for a ratchet and torque wrench (which my last oil changer did not might be able to rent out this puppy to other Beemers around town, It won't take long for those 9 bucks to come home!.
This is a great fit. I like the way it works! Considering the price, you can't beat this, and if used properly, it should last as long as your N55 engine. In this case, the cap may distort due to the construction material, making it difficult to separate from the filter assembly, but this is usually a sign that the cap is too tight, or that it is In the event that a filter canister lid and/or tool are damaged as a result of incorrectly rotating the plastic oil filter lid, the lid will need to be replaced. That's why I'd buy this product and others from the same manufacturer.
My 2008 BMW 328i is in great shape. My last oil change was broken by idiots who overtightened the cap of my oil filter. Even with a strap wrench or filter pliers, I couldn't remove it. Even though I had to lean into it, the cap wrench was a great help. I found it to be just right.
The first time I tried to fit it, I struggled. It was merely a matter of spinning it around a few times to find the "perfect spot". When you get it to fit, it's quite snug, even tight. So that you don't scrape the edges off of the filter cover, it is probably a good idea, but be prepared to use some skills in order It took a while for my wrench to come off, so I kept it on while I wiggled A prying tool or another tool is needed to prise or pull it off. Works well enough to get the job done.
